Andawane EELam war 4

Sri Lanka military pounds LTTE positions

Colombo, July 01: Sri Lankan troops fired mortars and artillery at suspected Tamil Tiger positions in the North-east today as the Navy sank a rebel boat in the island's north, the military said.

Troops began firing long-range weapons at tiger positions south of Muttur in the Trincomalee district this morning, the military said, adding that it was aimed at neutralising rebel gun positions.

There were no immediate reports of casualties, but a military official here said that the attack came after the navy last night sank a suspected rebel boat about eight kilometres outside the Kankesanthurai harbour in the Jaffna peninsula.

There were no reports of casualties from that attack either, the military said.

Eelam is the original indigenous name for Sri Lanka. Nowadays we speak Sinhala and Tamil in this beautiful island. One day there will be Sinhala and Tamil Eelams and we all will live in Peace.

Gaja,
Western countries including Austalia have used the UN's assessment of the Tamil Tigers as a Terrorist group. Given that UNICEF is part of the UN, it has to stay away from the Tigers and merely 'report to those who have influence and/or authority over Tigers. UN cannot have it both ways

Essentially what you are saying is, 'if you call them terrorists, regardless of their atrocities, you have no right to speak for children in the N&E'.

So do you have children or are you always on drugs?

Govt or tigers, if you just can't see their atrocities, then you have a problem.
