The 'pictures' known as dendrograms show how close genetically certain groups of people are to each other. Basically, the smaller the number, the closer the groups are.

From Fig 3, it can be seen that the Sinhalese, the Indian Tamils, and the South Indian Muslims form one cluster, whereas the Gujaratis, the Punjabis, and the west Indian Muslims form another, an almost identical clustering to the one observed in Figure 2. Here, too, the Bengalis and the Veddahs are farthest from the Sinhalese.

Both dendrograms reveal close similarities between the Sinhalese and the Sri Lankan Tamils, between the Sinhalese and the Indian Tamils, and between the Sri Lankan Tamils and the Indian Tamils.

Thank you Muru.

You say

True. But this was in 1995. Democracy has brought with it its own divisions. Are you able to draw up the parallel picture for post-war Sri Lankans and Indians? - so we would know the effect of 'natural' pulls vs the effect of intellectual thinking - which gives us the higher global connections?

Bonggo,

According to your theory we are all Bangladeshis.

You are right, if you go to the Dakka city and stand in a crowded junction, the people look almost similar to the Sri Lankans.
If you see the Buddhist monks in Bangaladesh, you may speak to them in Sinhala because you cannot find any difference (appereance, features and complexion) between them and the Sri Lankan Buddhist monks.

Lula,

Similarly the Bangladeshi Hindu priest looks exactly like a Hindu priest in Sri Lanka and Catholic priest looks as if has come for a visit from Colombo.

Sri Lankan Guru is a photcopy of Bangladehi Guru!

We (that means you too) are all Bangla oi.

Dracula my pal,

How are you, I read your Tamil bashing but hope things will go well. Thanks to Sinhala brothers, the Tamils have become a hardened race and is able to withstand any hardship or ready to face any challenges.

You could see how they withstood the 60 years of Sri Lankan 'freedom' and the blunder they made by going along with the natives at the time the British left!

By the way we should discuss about the federal solution to the ethnic problem and the reason why you are against that. May be we will start this after the 15th as I am held up with some commitment.

Don't use Cobra's utterences as reference materials for your argument as he is a mercenary employed to dissiminate lies. For that matter he is not even a Sinhalese!

Until then enjoy your bashing.

Bye for now, nada

Pal Magha

I too love to dance with my wife....

Don't you dance with any other women?

I hear first lady too is a wonderful dancer, may be when she comes to your land next time to promote culture and heritage of Paradise and its inhabitants!

Did you have your early training at Glady's Dancing School at Colpetty. Hm...hope we will have a chance to dance with the celebrity.......Magaha....with oozing charm he oiled his way.....we could have danced all night....

Could these dances in any way bring peace among the natives and the invaders?
