If you are still at this forum, can I now ask you if the Tamils must live in a unitary state of Sri Lanka?
I accept that average Sinhalese is just and, peaceful and with brains. But sad to say they are in the minority. The recent Presidential elections is quoted. However as the days go by more are 'brain washed' and we see the major Opposition Party giving support to the GOSL-
I, for one hate war and associated killing. I can only see a Hob-son's choice here.
I pray that good sense will prevail. |

As I have said many times before, I have no quarrel with the GOOD, KIND, and PEACEFUL moderate SINHALESE. But I do not take kindly to morons and war-mongers. Are you one of them.
How many Sinhalese have become citizens of countries other than Sri Lanka? Are they not enjoying the benefits in those adapted countries? What is wrong in we Tamils having our rights in our country of birth? Why is it you must impose your values on us? Why is that you must take our homes, our culture and our lives? Why can't you live like it used to be.we in the NE and you in the South, West And Center? Who is the problem here? What are you so afraid of?
BunkerBuster, I do not hate you but I am disappointed with you. I have lived among the Sinhalese and have enjoyed their company,their food and friendliness. I AM disappointed that they have now given-up such Noble values and are crying for blood. WHY! WHY!! WHY!. |

There should be genuine political reforms in SL. The reform and solution should be a win-win, lets not get down to unitary or federal argument. The principle should be equal rights and opportunity, democracy and individual liberties.
Now having said that LTTE is the clear and present danger. They don't respect democracy and individual liberties. So much power is resting with a single individual, who has abused the power over the years.
Singalese extremists are evil. But most of them have submitted themselves to electoral politics. It is easier to defeat crazy and evil ideas through democracy than through gun point.
I hope you would agree with me that Martin Luther King Jr. has achieved a lot more for the blacks in US than Nation of Islam did.
LTTE has lived out its purpose and it should go to history. The democracy and civil society in SL has matured enough for a civil movement to strengthen democracy and equal rights and dignity.

The JHU pseudo-hamuduruwankers are partly responsible for the continuing trobles in Sri Lanka. Their predecessors set the scene for the ethnic strife in 1956 with the help of half-tamil opportunistic modaya SWRD .
The LTTE should next target the headquarters of the JHU pseudo-hamuduruwankers.

Thank you for your good post. I see what you are driving at. I also agree that LTTE and VP in particular do not make the ideal.
Democracy has its good points,no doubt. It is good if the electorate are free thinking, fair-minded and educated. Voting on policies a must, not on individuals or race based, religion influenced and certainly not prompted by bribery. Is the State of Sri Lanka ready for this? It is said love flies out of the window when poverty knocks on the door. In Sri Lanka, GOODNESS flies out the window in majority of the people because of race and religious issues raised by the politicians and the BIKKUS as stated in the article above. What then happens to the minority? Who starts the cleansing and when? |
