Deputy Chief of Staff of the Sri Lanka Army Major General Parami Kulatunga and three others were killed when an LTTE suicide bomber on a motorcycle exploded around 7.45 a.m. today (26) close to Pannipitya junction, 17 kilo meters away from Colombo City.

The back up vehicle and the car in which the Major General was attacked when he was on his way to office, the car was set ablaze by the explosion killing the driver Sergeant Gomes and Corporal Buddika including Major General Kulatunge.

MCNS (Media Centre for National Security) reports that this is the second major attack against Senior Army Officials during the last two months. The LTTE failed when they attempted to assassinate the Army Commander on April 25. The second attack within two months killed the Senior Officer who holds the third highest appointment in the Sri Lanka Army.

Naleen

Why you want to sympathize for a death for which you feel happy and excited?

Naleen,

I feel so sorry because we do not have a leader who realises the value of peace; because we do not have a leader who can bring peace to this land and also because this is not the last death we are going to hear.

This is the time we need a true leader who can see over pettey communal differences and bring peace to my motherland.

Naleen what do you expect the president to do ? Would you be much more specific?

Please explain me what are you suggessions to bring peace in sri lanka? or to the LTTE problem ?

or in another word,

what will bring peace to Sri Lanka ? be specific please.

Dear Ariyalai,

How are you? I have said that about LULA, because the way he was talking with me. He is thinking I am either oldpuli or some one. Of course I know about oldpuli. He is a doctor and living in NA and good friend of mine.

Anyway, that is not what we want to talk here right, ah.

My answer for your question:

We Tamils have to realize the reality. That is where we have to start. It took 25 years to realize that we cannot have separate country within Srilanka. I think you agree with me here.

Second and important thing is Singhalese have to accept that we Tamils are Srilankans and have same rights as they have in Lanka. However, Tamils MUST realize that they cannot go anywhere with VP's vision.

Stop the violence, I strongly believe, if LTTE stop the violence, every one will stop. Simple as that.

What next, sit down and talk, talk for next 20 years, does not matter. Important thing is to achieve something meaningful for all the members of this small country.
