Bluewaters,
I can understand how you feel personally being a friend of the late General.
I had similar feelings when one of my cousins was killed in the Pettah bomb so I really cannot justify any of these jokers who see killing as freedom fighting. It takes ones close freind or relative to be killed to understand that. These killers have no human values or ethics, they are killers and I don't think any of those peace talks going to work any where any better. |

Kamani Thanks.
There is no way out than peace talks. Look at US with all their military power still struggeling in Iraq. LTTE is a peoples force whether we like it or not. There power is people. We cannot defeat a peoples force militarily. We need genuine talks which VP and MR both have failed so far. Who ever get killed they are our country men and women. So we as a country has failed some where and its time we correct that before more blood shed. People whould act against both GOSL & LTTE and request both to put an end to civilian killings. GOSL need to stop associating with Karuna as well as LTTE need to stop killing SLA and put the blame on civilians. We need honest and genuine leaders in both sides who put country before self. |

Magha mallie,
'I will be out for a while since I have sustained injuries to my hand, will be back when the wounds are healed'.
Oh poor darling what happened to you, you put your hand in the wrong place? This is why you have to be careful, think before you leap.
But I feel that your injuries are due to writing some junk since of late and that can certainly hurt not only the hands but the brain too.
But you are terribly unfair accusing Naleen as a traitor but many enlightened people think that he is a rare birth, born to enlighten the blind sinhala masses, he is a messenger of God, Buddha's avatar. Same thing happened to Jesus, Mohammad, and many others so it is OK.
Then these two naughty girls Kamani and Ruwani and their hands too got injured and are you taking them also for treatment?
Take care Magha, lot of rest, good nutritious food and importantly your medicines and don't forget to pray for guidance.
NB. By the way I am confused about these Ruwani, Kamani, etc, difficult to make out who is who but all basically the same. Who is the one who was blasted by Anizam? |

Nalin,
Thing has been done. You have been added to the terrorist list. JHU/JVP way of solving the problem. The notorious way of suppressing the people expressing their views in societies of Authoritarian rulers, and fascists.
I have seen how some websites have branded artists like Praakrama Niriella, Asoka Handagmama, Vimukthi Jayasundara and Prasanna Vithanage as traitors for expressing their views about war. .
Keep on telling what you believe.
As you and me know, this is a problem created by discriminating Tamils and suppressing their peaceful protests violently and oppressing them periodically by all the sinhal majority governments who came to power.
Now their solution is to eliminate Parabakaran a school drop out, Thamilchelvam a barber, Nadesan PC 'Kossa''.
Who created them?
None of them want to go back and see what created this problem.
They talk about the LTTE killing of Sihalese. Does any body know how many SINHALA people were killed by JVP and Security Forces? Which is the bigger number?
I do not know Partami Kulathunga and I believe he is not as racist as Janaka Perera and Sarth Fonseka. My sympathy goes to Kulathunga Family.
We have to sympathies with Ramesh family too. Edited By - suriya - 26 Jun 2006 22:48:59 GMT |

Kamani,
You are very right dear, when you experience only you will know the pain.
My God how many friends, relatives were killed during 56, 58, 77, 83 and thereafter shooting, bombing and shelling that still goes on, all poor innocent people, and then only I understood how terrible all these happenings are, same as you feel now, and even wondering how to overcome this terrible carnage.
Once a newly married cousin was shot by army while walking on the road and worst you know Kamani the wife and others have to give a letter that he was a 'terrorists'.
You would have heard in Trinco too, when the five school boys were killed the police was pestering the parents for similar letters.
So my dear Kamani, I really share the feelings with you and as long as people like you with similar mindset exist, we are going to share this feelings for many many years to come by which time if God is willing you may have even become a grand mother! |

| Although it is not some thing to be proud about, it is still nice to know that at least some people have experienced once in a lifetime what many Tamils have experienced over and over again loosing loved ones. |
