The Tamil children are the lambs which are stolen from poor parents to be sacrificed in the war field by warmongers.
Peace is the word coming out from the mouth of politicians.
War is their desire from their heart.
World and SL citizens are listeners who believe what the SL politicians say. |

The supporters of continued State Terrorism (AnuD, Vinivida, Magha, anteterro, and others),
You have been deeply concerned abvout their welfare in the Northeast and writting miles of critism of LTTE for alleged recruitmnt of child soldiers. Now UNICEF and Amnesty International accused Karuna Group of kidnapping and recuiting children for training as their cadres. Are you still there or just giving up your concern of those children?
We could not find any reference to these allegations in
The Island,
Asiatribune.com,
Lankaweb,
Lankatruth
and all the other govt sponsored and funded media.
The President, Foreign Secretary, other ministers, Ananthasangaree, Doublas Devanda, The Hindu and those who have been shedding (crocodile) tears on behalf of these children have zipped their lips.
This is the double standard Tamils hate. |

23 Jun 2006
A few sonic booms released by aircraft under training in the general area off USWETAKEIYYAWA, WATTALA this morning (23) around 10.15 a.m. caused panic among the public in the area.
The fighter aircraft were under training along the coastal areas stretching from WATTALA to KALUTARA area Friday morning.
In the wake of threats posed by Tamil Tiger terrorists, many civilians in the coastal areas panicked and gathered on coastal areas in curiosity.

Mahabala,
Really don't Tamils have any alternative than miserablle approach by LTTE.
A big NO!The Tamils having explored and exausted all avenues possible and then only took up arms to liberate them from the tyrany of sinhala state terrorism, 30 years ago.The events since the signing of the CFA clearly vindicates the Tamils struggle of freedom from sinhala state terrorism.Look! Whant is hppening now?Don't you think the behaviour of the facist and racist sinhala govt at the moment proves that the Tamils have chosen the right path to free themselves from the clutches of sinhala state terrorism. |

Child recruitment for war by any party should not be tolerated and should be taken to task immediately.
The world community has tolerated for the past 20 years, the LTTE recruiting underaged children for war. There are under aged children still in the training camps in Kilinochchi. The UNCEF must go into Vanni to inspect all the places under LTTE's control to see if there are any under aged children. Can they do it?
I am unable to believe Karuna will recruit underaged children because he let go all his cadre to their homes and overseas once he broke away from the main group. I doubt he is building an army. Anyhow it has to be verified as this may be a ploy by someone who supports the LTTE. Edited By - sellam - 23 Jun 2006 13:36:21 GMT |

There we go again.
Is it that hard to accept something as true?
Abduction and recruitment of Sri Lankan children by Karuna is wrong. And yes, it's also wrong when the LTTE and the GOSL do this. Is it that hard to say it's wrong without first pointing the finger at the LTTE?
Someone here said why the BS, MS, PhD, MBBS, LLB, MBA Tamils don't do anything to help the situation. Well I have a question for you. Why don't the BS, MS, PhD, MBBS, LLB, MBA Sinhalese don't do anything about the corrupt, greedy, selfish, arrogant politicians? The GOSL doesn't represent the Sinhalese, let alone the Tamils and other Sri Lankans..
The point is, no one can do much about the current situation. You may have studied for 40 years, but as long as you don't HAVE THE POWER to do something good with your knowlegde, you can't do much.
The problem with Sri Lanka is not that we don't have good people (both Tamils, Sinhalese, Muslims) who are FULLY CAPABLE OF RULING THE COUNTRY AS IT SHOULD but we don't have these people on THE RIGHT SPOT.
I want to see a revolution where the people come in action and kick the current government and especially the current corrupt, selfish system and replace these politicians with some good Sinhalese (Tamils, Muslims in short Sri Lankan) people.
I know this war is not about Tamils and Sinhalese. It's mostly about some maniacs who are abusing their power. But unfortunately these guys have power to brainwash the people and get these people on their side... Edited By - WebSurfer - 23 Jun 2006 12:22:16 GMT |

Karuna might be thinking that it is unfair to send overage carders to fight LTTE child soldiers.
As a former LTTEer he must be concerned for fairness and thus follow the age and weight rules in competition- light weight, bantam weight etc. and under 15, under 19 etc.
Unicef would realise that there is no harm in it. |
