Tamil Canuck,

i vaguely remember a pasupathy who went to SJC and then flew off
to Australia. does this person have kids in the mid 30's

Mr. Shiva Pasupathy came to Australia the 80's. Yes, he does have kids - one boy two girls - in their late 30's

Could this Sri Kantha be Sachi Sri kantha, whose writings i love to read.

No. This Sri Khantha was a senior Public Administrator in Sri Lanka from whose wisdom I continue to benefit. He was actively involved in the Gandhian movement in Sri Lanka

Tamilcanuck,

Mr. Shiva Pasupathy has many brothers - all outstanding Professionals. Uthayan paper was operating from their ancestral property at Kasthuriar Rd - Jaffna. The sons of the Pasupathies living in Jaffna would have attended St John's college. My brother Siva Navaratnam also did. He now lives in Toronto and is 43 years old.

Boruhile,
You can call me that way and there's nothing wrong there.
By the way, there's nothing wrong knowing Kadir and the archbishop either, is there?
Archbishop is not a political wag or a terrorist goon./ He lives a decent life and has millions of friends and followers. Anybody can meet him if one wishes or befriends with him.

Gaja and Tamilcanuck and all

It is interesting to know that Sri Khantha as you call him was involved with the Gandhian Movement. So was Mr Nehru who was killed with Kausalyan sometime ago.

The Gandhian Movement had unfortunately borrowed the illustrious name of Gandhi to carry out nefarious activities in Sri Lanka.

Among other things it was illegally moving tamils who were due to be deported back to India under the Sirima/Shastri Pact to the Wanni and planting them in the Wanni during JR's time. Unfortunately some of the NGO's like Red Barna were helping in this execise by providing funds and borehole water etc.

All this was for establishing the tamil population in areas that was jungle - for bolstering the Tamil Homeland claim

You mean that they had the foresight back then about the current war?

As for it being illegal - how can an internal movement be illegal?
