Tigeress,
All types of child abuse need to be stopped. There is not much differesnce between child soldiers, child prostitutes and child labour. We can't really mess with our society's future.
Child prostitution and child labour are inflicted by parents and consumers on children due to lack of social awareness and economic deprivation.
This needs to be addressed through legal, social and econmomic actions. But even the lack of awareness and economnic dperivation don't excuse the culprits (Parents and consumers) for their crimes on children.
When it comes to child soldiers, the whole thing is perpetuated by LTTE. It can be stopped by LTTE anytime they wish, especially since they justify their exisatnce on basis of social and political reforms.
The words need to match actions. |

Child Prostitutes - Are a victim of the society, they need to be rehabilitated.
Child Soldiers - Cause suffering to the society, they need to be thrown on to the tractors like the Hon. Bgd. Janaka Perera did. |

On second thoughts, I don't mind even forming a child brigade to get rid of people like Ruwani!
Then again, to get rid of people like Ruwani, you don't need any type of brigades.
You just need to use a couple of fire crackers from an audible distance from where people like Ruwani is posted.
They flee. And they flee like hell. Remember those who were manning elephant pass.
Sorry about the first sentence about chil soldiers, I was joking! :) |

Maninder,
This is our Motherland and we will never run from it. I know you and your Kallathoni types have tried this for the past 2500 years and failed miserably at it. Before participating in SL forums why don't you find a solution to the severe sewerage problem your country has.
Here are a few things you could concentrate on improving:
Why don't stop chewing all that stinking stuff and start investing on a few Bubble gum factories.
Instead of wearing that rotten peice of cloth on your head why don't you start educatinng your illiterate scum rag-heads that it is good hygene to shave one's face once in a while at least.
Instead of your illiterate imbeciles wasting pure Cow's milk washing elephant headed statues why don't you spend your time educating them on using that milk to eleviate the severe malnutrition problem.
Last but not least, why don't you educate the likes of Moraji Desai not to drink human Urine and behave a bit more civilized. Edited By - Ruwani - 21 Jun 2006 13:50:49 GMT |

Ruwani,
This is our Motherland and we will never run from it
Which one is your mother land? Didn't you run from SL?
Now you are talking about Kallathonies, 2500 years of history and disgusting Indians. I go by thinking, oh my god, the most sacred stuff in whole of Sri Lanka is a bloody Indian's tooth!
But then again look, who is talking!
It is upto you to run away from your 'mother country', to settle down in a forign land and write posts in Sri Lankan forums about throwing Sri Lankan children into tracters. But that doesn't exactly qualify you to lecture on others particpation in this forum.
Or doest it, Ruwani, in your scheme of things? I will not be surprised! :) Edited By - Maninder - 21 Jun 2006 14:07:31 GMT |

| About a few months ago, Suresh, his good friend Rasiah, his wife and I were visiting Bentota when 2 stinking Indians asked us for direction towards Hikkaduwa. Suresh's friend sent them in the opposite direction. We laughed all the way to Bentota. |

Maninder,
We have also created a little rhyme to sing. It goes like:
Onion bajee Onion bajee where have you been
I've been to Lanka to avoid the sewer smell at home.
LOL! |
