Kamani,
Sri Lankan government and people who should decided what is best for the country not a foriegner.
So the Sri Lankan Govt has decided what's good for the country, that's to invite foreigner Norway to mediate and US to condemn LTTE. But how comes Sri Lankan Govt begs money from foreiners even to build a road. Why is it sending young mothers abroad as maids? How is it other countries like Sinagpore and Malaysia where Tamils live prosper?
You and your husband are OK in London that does not mean millions of masses in Sri Lanka have even one meal a day. They don't have prioper schools to send their children to and educate even in Sinhalese let alone the language of the ruling elite. |

Thank you for that. I know people are dying from both sides. Bottom line is God has given us a great country and we fools spoil it.
I found your comment on 'dragging on till Praba gets old interesting'. I didn't think about it that way. It looks like Bala is not going to see results of his efforts either. That's why it is imporatnt to push on with talks and be flexible.
Sintamus, honestly do you think it was correct for Mr Thamilchelvam to not participate in talks when he fully well knew the modalities two weeks in advance?
I too have clients, tenants and moreover relatives in Tamil community. |

in that case , you should respect the gosl team.
kamani, you the one calling your country a democratic banana republic, not ltte or tamils, so why not send a minister to the talks to talk about the talks and talks?
if not agree with me , your country is ruled by some dictators do not allow tamils to take part or to represent tamilism in political stream and the true meaning of democracy is not practiced by sinhala nation!! |

Plese do not take seriously this Private ,the head of punnakku brigade in this forum.He has multiple pathology and he urgently requires medical attention,for which the LTTE has kindly consented to foot all his medical bills,because they were entirely reponsible for his present problems.Be nice to him,will you. |

the strategist thinks, the gosl team is a god send one, so why not talk to them is the question he posed.
OK, fair enough, the point here is they went there to TALK, if GOSL or LTTE send representatives they are there to talk rather than finding how qualified the other party is, since they are REPRESENTATIVES!!.
...so why could not the gosl send mankala along with those gutter boys?
So, what difference it would have made? I personaly think LTTE would have been better off speaking to your so called gutter boys rather than to some one like mankal who is just a serial big mouth....

It is a way of life we will loose a few on the way of achieving our goals. Anton Balasingham is one of them (May be) but even our lives are uncertain and we should get together and come to a settlement that will make sri lanka a real pearl in the Indian ocean.
I do agree that Thamilselvan should have attended the talks but we should respect his explanation as well as to why he did not attend.We are all trying to settle this by talking to each other, it is not easy but we should not give up
I admire your comments except one comment that you keep on posting which i feel you should not say it. The comment about I have Tamil friends, relatives, clients and Tenants! Now you should avoid the tenants part cos it shows your very rich and own more than 1 house/flat.
((UR not alone in owning properties))
My suggestion to u:- Try sponsoring Kids with the Rental income you get from Tamil Tenants, that will make a huge difference in your life. |

better off talking to these gutter boys
agreed but no point in talking about the talks,(ltte would have scored more points but the conclusion of the talks will not be implemented) the talks suppose to be about the safety of slmm members, it is sensible , if gosl sent some sort of people who are in charge of defense forces along with some ministers, of course with the gutter boys.
what sort of decision these goons be able to take without the knowledge of the ground situation? it would have been a waste of time talking to those. so the ltte decided not to talk to those bunch. |

C'mon, strategist would not say things like that because he is a strategist. If he says things like that he would not be able to earn a living.
You need a politically astute person to support the team. Now that Bala cannot help there is a vacuum. Over 30 years what have you done. Created opportunities for Muslims, Sinhalese and others but not for Tamils.

An elected government is not one man show like your Wanni Rat. Mahinda has an advisory board and he listens to what they say and there will be discussions on how to implement in the long run. Beside the elected government is not there to kill innocent people but to serve people. Disagreements in people are normal but that does not mean the GOSL chase out all the opponents and kill them.
If you cannot understand basic politics then you should be better of reading some political science books to increase your scope. |
