Niroshan,

If you want to see EPDP cadres carrying guns in Jaffna it's simple, they wear sarangs and carry guns in front of the police stations and army (EPDP) camps on the main roads. Go to Nelliady market and wait inside, the police and army are there too. There are civilians who carry automatic guns in front of these police and army. If they are not paramilitaries who else could they be? If they are not EPDP the police or army will apprehend them.

Answering a question whether the Sri Lanka government urged Karuna to keep a low-profile so that the parties could go ahed with the peace talks, Karuna said in an interview to BBC Thamilosai, said:

'These ideas have been put forward.. I don't deny that.. But LTTE is not keen on this process...'

So Karuna admits openly that he is collaborating and cordinating his attack to fit into the agenda of the Government. The GoSl or SLA ask Karuna when to attack LTTE and when to keep low profile.

It is a known fact that All successive Governments since Independence had ignored a 'silently brewing' discontent among the people of different Nationalities which had its inception perhaps a Hundred Years ago. This discontent particularly among the Sinhalese Middle Class saw its climax in 1956 due to the folly of an 'educated' man.
Since then, matters have taken an ugly turn and here we are at a critical juncture in the History of Sri Lanka.

It is appropriate to introspect as to who is to be blamed
for the currant state of affairs. Is it the Sinhala Politicians, the Sinhala People or the Tamil Politicians or the Tamil People?!. I am rhetorically posing this question because except for a selected few in this Forum the general nature and attitude of everyone is to accuse each other and there is no sensible answers in the offing.
It is sad indeed that even today after all these years, there are people who have still not realized the cause of the present state of affairs. For some, the cause is immaterial and the present status of ones own community seems paramount, barely realizing that the problem confronting today is a National Problem which would adversely affect all communities.

Politicians today are no different from the ones of yore.
Void of any clear vision or strategy is noticeable in the actions and 'sayings' of these Politicians.

The most important thing as a first measure is to have MUTUAL RESPECT AND UNDERSTANDING AMONG COMMUNITIES.

Talking about who is the Majority, educated and higher Race and Superior in all respects doesn't serve the purpose. I have replied many people in this Forum when the occasion demanded in accordance to their argument with a clear message to them, so that each individual would introspect
as to where we had gone wrong. The 'choice of words' and the 'language' I would have used might sound offensive, which was not my intention. I have replied everyone with the blatant 'truth' as far as how I 'saw' and discerned, what had been the 'cause' and my sincere intention was not with Malice. It should be pointed out, when such arguments take place the 'use of such terme and language' is inevitable to make our people understand. Sometime truth would hurt, but it should be noted that 'TRUTH PREVAILS'.

In my opinion, as a first measure the LTTE ought to abandon their 'fantasy' of a separate State because it is not practical and a tangible solution. Considering all the mistakes and dishonesty shown by successive Sinhala Governments, the guys in this Forum who are in favor of
a Separate State should realize that there is NO SINGLE SINHALA POLITICAL LEADER WHO WOULD BE ABLE TO CONDESCEND TO SUCH A REQUEST.
The sooner the Tamils realize this the better.

Tamilcanuck,
I said it before as well, this must be a case of just one guy who's written it or set the website up not knowing tamil and later not getting on to the page for updatings.
The Tamil service people should see this and they should correct it. If they don't, then there's a problem. It sounds like, once they've got a job they don't care whether they could read it or not or whether it's written in sinhala or arabic.
I'll tell somebody today and make sure to get it right within the shortest possible time.

Tamilcanuck/Dewey,
I have informed it to the right people and they promised to correct it within the next couple of days.
It was only an innocent mistake.

Take Douglas for example. He fought against the government, killed sinhala people, and Army and then surrendered giving up a futile war. Now he's a minister, employing many tamils and trying his best to do something to his people. His website is all in tamil and English and there's no Sinhala. So he has done his level best so far to serve his community, language and the area and what have you done to criticise him? Have you actually written a single tamil letter since you migrated? They stayed in the country amidst all sorts of threats, and gelled with his people to do something to them. What have you done? You left the country, settled well, ignored all your people and thanks to Mr.Brown, found a message board to bash Sri lanka and the government. See the difference....
