Vini,
As usual, your ignorence is personified! You are a pathetic sole; I simply feel sorry for you; there is nothing else I can do. Hope that you see some sense soon, but I have no hope! |

Ariyalai_SB,
You are concerned that the sri-lankan govts over the years have not treated the tamil people as equal citizens, and you are very much entitled to say that and be concerned about that.
In the same way, I am saying that the LTTE has never, ever in twenty two years! (really twenty two years) have ever had any positive exchange of ideas or shared a common platform in a positive way to resolve common issues with any other group of people living on this island e.g. (i) sinhalese buddhist(ii)sinhalese catholics, (iii) muslims(iv)Up-country tamils (v)malay muslims (vi) burghers (vii) veddhas (viii)all other tamil groups, politicians and organisations and tamil people opposed to them whom they have gunned down!
So my question is how are you guys going to make peace? Really how? Again I have to ask this question, again and again, how are you going to make peace until you start talking to other groups of people living in this island? I am at a loss for ideas!
My view is you have to start with the basics, at the beginning i.e. start having a dialogue with all these other groups living in this island, all at the same time.
Believe me, there is, in the end no other way. Also it would be good to have a truth and reconciliation commission where every death, both combatant and civilian in this conflict can be acknowledged and investigated and people can forgive each other for the past violence. |

In those days, when there are thugs in south chase tamils ,nobody can defend them. Now all tamils know there is a power in north,to lookafter them. That is a great improvement with LTTE.
I wont surprise one day Karuna ,Duglas all these other Tamils will be killed by GOSL. |

Vini,
How many times have I told you that LTTE is not the answer for the Tamils; Tamils need a peaceful administration.
The thrust of my points have been to pinpoint that, for Tamils, LTTE is the better of two evils. Unless, GOSL comes out credible with deeds, the Tamils have no options than carrying on supporting the LTTE. So far, Sinhalese collectively justify the existence of LTTE.
You need to understand a fundamental fact; when democracy, or lack of it, fails, extremism takes hold. Tamils collectively do not have the stomach or will to analyse anything; the aim is survival. It is up to the GOSL to create conditions for violence to subside; but, if they perpetrate violence themselves, there is no chance! |
