Bravo LTTE
This shows that no bullies (USA,UK,or EUcan bring LTTE on bended knees. They are comited to a cause which is justice to a community. When LTTE left the Island they clearly stated they are not having any discussion with GOSL.They are only to talk to Norway re MOnitors saftey. As they have already got some news that GOSL is going to sacrifice monitors to put the blame on LTTE.If they can kill their own race to blame LTTE (Recent killing of 13 Sinhalese in East) this is nothing. |

Unless the GOSL keeps it comitment to Geneva1 by disarming the paramilitary, LTTE should not talk directly to the GOSL.
They went to Norway to talk about the SLMM. Not to GOSL, nor about Genevea, nor even the CFA. |

GOSL / SLA / Sri Lankans...
Golden opportunity at high risk? Take it!
I highly recommend arresting Tamil Sellan and the whole LTTE jing bang when they arrive from the pleasure trip to Oslo.

Norway may leave Sri Lanka and UN may replace mediator roll in Sri Lanka.
1. Both parties of the conflict not accomplished their commitments in Oslo and Geneva. Government gave uo Federal solution accepted in Oslo and refused to demobilize its proxy Karuna. LTTE proxies also attacking Soldiers.
2. Sri lanka down grade its delegation only sending a low level team under the leadership of the head of its peace secretariat. So Thamilsevan ask LTTE peace secretariat Head Pulithevan to meet the Government delegation. The government delegation refused to meet the down graded LTTE delegation. This created impasse.
3. Norwegian sought commitment for peace from MR and Praba.
We have to prepare to invite UN as mediators.

| Cowards when they are with heros, they also become heros.Heros when they are with cowards they also become cowards.Karuns is a typical example for this. When he was with hero Prbakaran he was a hero .Now he is a zero and a coward, because, he is aligned with coward sinhala terrorist army. That is why he is functioning hiding under the dirty sarong of Mahinda and doing all the dirty and cowardly acts. |

Surely some of the readers here say ,
why didnt LTTE meet up with Government Delegation?
since they were sent as government delegations LTTE shouldve talk to them.
a Valid point.
LTTE peace secretiat Pulithevan has stated his desire to talk to the Governemnet peace secretiat and his team. in this case he was the head of governmeent delegation.
Government demanded they talks with Other Tiger members.
IF governemnet was hoping they use this opotunity to kick start the peace talks they shouldve send high ranking ministers to participate in the delegation. it is purely LTTE dont trust MR because Geneva 1 they said they amended CFA, when it was not, they lied and never implemeneted anything they say, so what hope we have with minor delegations?
LTTE gave a opotunity , they send high level delegation which has deciding authority on behalf of Tigers. mahinda again missed the opotunity , not only missed the opotunity he messed the opotunity. he send low level officials for talks and expected tigers to talk to them. wouldnt tiger think what is the point talking to this low level civil servants and its clear from past what they say will not be implemented. it will be a waste of time.
Miss opotunity 2
When Pulidethevan ( LTTE peace secretiat) said his desire to talk to them governemnt should grab the opotunity GOvernemnt peace head (he is Governemnt propaganda head) should talk to them. that way their relationship at least improved and understandings improve. which will definatly help in future.
so now who's falut is it?
it is clear Governemnts fault.
LTTE had send their high level delegation , if governemnt send same level delegation then there is a valid hope what they agree in the table can be presured tobe implemented.
once again Mathanamutha Mahinda messed it up |

SriLankanArmy,
More information will follow
SLA soldiers armed with bayonets and knifes entered the house of a family of four and slaughtered 35-year-old father, 27-year-old mother, 9-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son Thursday midnight in Vankalai, 12 km southeast of Mannar. Eyewitnesses in the area, Thomaspuri Ward No 10 in Vankalai, have told Mannar Additional Magistrate that they could identify the soldiers involved in the massacre. Villagers alleged the mother was raped before the massacre. Tension prevails in Vankalai. Religious leaders including the Bishop of Mannar, parliamentarians and civil society members in Mannar have rushed to site. Sri Lanka Monitoring Mission officials have visited the massacre site |

Yes typical! I am wondering what the role of a SLGovt is?
The SLGovt has been elected by the vast and overwhelming majority of the people living in this island to take care their welfare on their behalf. Things like dengue crisis, tsunami displaced, tsunami re-construction, health, education, GDP, exports, business development, infratructure development etc. etc.
But oh no! Instead of doing what they were elected to do, they and the SL armed forces, SLN etc have to run round helter skelter, dodging landmines, bombs and bullets by the LTTE, who have taken it upon themselves to re-start a pointless war instead of sticking to the CFA and the peace process.
So everytime the LTTE wants war, the rest of the country has to go to war with them! This is insane! In addition, everytime the LTTE shouts war! the hapless people specially in the NE has no choice whatsoever but to bow their heads to this dictat. Also, whatever SLGovt is in power has to also run round like headless chickens preparing for war! This drama has now been going on for twenty two years!
If the international community cares about sri-lanka and both the people whether in the north or the south, the LTTE should be told in no uncertain terms that they must:
(i) abide by the CFA
(ii) let the SLMM work freely
(iii) take part in a structured peace process, no walking out! no threats of violence
(iv) seriously consider the federal proposals/devolution of power and help implement whatever is agreed
(v) disband child soldiers and
(vi) let other tamil parties speak freely without being gunned down
(vii) multi-party democracy in the NE
This ridiculous, insane drama should not be allowed to continue like this. My personal opinion is that almost no sri-lankan whether sinhalese or tamil, want war and they want to get on with their lives in peace. |
