Solheim, Bauer here in bid to save talks

Former Norwegian peace envoy Erik Solheim, due to arrive in Sri Lanka today has told the government that the LTTE will never resume the peace talks, Minister of Plan Implementation Keheliya Rambukwella told the media at the weekly briefing yesterday.
`But as a responsible government, we will not give up on our efforts to bring them back to the talks,` he said.
The Minister said that the Norwegian peace facilitator Hans Bauer had arrived yesterday in Sri Lanka. The two of them were here on the urgent request of the Sri Lanka government, to discuss the future of the peace process as a matter of high priority.
Military spokesman Brigadier Prasad Samarasinghe said that the Sri Lankan troops, including police, are dedicated to serve all Sri Lankan citizens not any single ethnic group. `We protect all citizens.`
`Some are claiming that we are protecting only Sinhala people. Those allegations are baseless. We cannot counter attack when LTTE attacks us because our retaliatory attacks will harm civilians. Every time they attack, they use civilians as a shield and a large number of civilians are injured`, Brigadier Samarasinghe said.
He said that seven Army soldiers including officers and one police officer were killed and five Army soldiers were injured by the LTTE during the last week.

GOSL and the HIGH RANKING officials like to protect innocents Tamils. Even though numerous innocents are being get killed. May God protect innocents citizens of the country. |

EU FREEZERS LTTE ACCOUNTS
Dear Expat LTTE funders,
I am sorry about above but it appears that your hard earned money will remain frozen for many decades. ( both EU and Canada)
You were fooled yet again by the LTTE who may have promised to return money in 3 years.
Some of you may have been forced to take loans, re-mortgages, beg and borrow or miss one meal to give your valuable money to fund the killing machines but now they are frozen while you have to pay off debts through your nose.
Still you can have a reason to cheer !
It is because you will know that with YOUR MONEY the LTTE can not-
- kill fellow tamils as they have done ( 5000 EPRLF/EPDP in ?89, 1500 Mahattaya a supporters in ?99, 1500 tamil speaking muslim cadres and now eastern tamils)
- Less likely to kill innocent tamil kids ( 6000) so that they can learn the alphabet unlike the lucky Praba?s kids
- That they are less likely to recruit kids to be sacrificed later ( 5368 since CFA)
- Less likely to kill all tamil political opponents ( 600 since CFA)
- Less likely to kill principals/hindu priests
- Less likely to deny all human rights to tamils under their control so that they will have some dignity.
- Less likely to give puppethood to all tamils who live in extream fear
- More likely not to create another senseless war to give more misery
- More likely to accept peace ending 25year suffering etc etc.
This is what happens when to take the side of terrorism !
No doubt you will agree with me.
