Bheesan,
If sinhala govt is unjust and so bad why are you so scared to go to the negotiating table....
Your asumption is untrue.LTTE is the one have been more interested in the talks. And in the year 2000, they first declared unilateral cease fire,But the SL govt refused to accept the UCF of the LTTE and continued the war by attacking the LTTE forces.Because of the UCF was their's,LTTE could not retaliate the attack onn the LTTE forces,as it would mean that they were violating their own UCF.After four months of their UCF,as SL govt did not reciprogate the ceasefire,LTTE was forced to withdraw the unilateral ceasefire they declared on the christmas day,25.12.2000,that was, 9 months before the 9/11 attack on US by Al queda.
During the four months of unilateral cease fire,LTTE lost over 400 fighters ,but not a single soldier died because LTTE did not want to violate their own cease fire.
Then again,on the folowing year christmas day,LTTE declared unilateral cease fire, which was accepted by the Ranil's govt. and CFA was signed by VP and Ranil. But the army refused obey the CFA and continued defy it.Even then the LTTE went for negtiations and there were six talks, but none of decisions taken on the six talks were implemented. So, LTTE was forced to suspend the talks.
In the meantime there were govt changes and CFA was under severe strain, because of the hard line taken by the rabid racist parties like JVP and JHU over the CFA.And to safe guard the CFA,which was about collapse, the LTTE agreed to talk about the full implementation of the CFA in Geneva. The decision taken at the Geneva talks, that is,to disarm the paramilitaries were not implemented even then the LTTE was prepared to go to Geneva for the seconed talks. But the govt refused transport for Eastern commanders of the LTTE to visit and prepare for the talks. And after the muder of Mr. Vigneswaren the violence eruppted and the talks could not be had under these circumstances.
This is why negotiation is impossible and not because LTTE is scared.Talks are held to take decisions and the decisions are taken to be implemented. Can you tell me why the hell, you should have talks when you know very well the sinhala state terrorist govt is not going to implement the decisions taken in it. |

There will never be peace in this beautiful island unless the Buddhist monks keep away from politics, now the latest is that they have begun attacking Christian Churches in Piliyandala & Galle,I guess the word PEACE shouldn't be in our vocabulary when talking of PEACE in Srilaka,

UKTamil:
Ban or no ban, money will always flow into the LTTE from their supporters in the West for their freedon struggle
Tamil diaspora are responsible for innocent tamils getting killed in Sri Lanka.
AS long as tamil diaspora give money to LTTE and LTTE is not disarmed, Sri Lankan people, mostly tamils, will suffer. |

World Bank:Violence Will Slow Devt In North,East Sri Lanka
Dow Jones
COLOMBO -(Dow Jones)- Progress in post-conflict development projects in Sri Lanka's north and east will be slowed by a recent escalation of violence in those areas, the World Bank said Friday.
But the threat of a return to war, which has delayed a revival in peace efforts between the government and Tamil Tiger rebels, hasn't hurt lending so far, Praful Patel, the bank's regional vice president for South Asia, told a news conference.

We can give them money in cash instead of through banks, and can never be prosecuted by their so called laws of Western governments which 'protect the integrity of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka'.
Come one come all... each dog's days are numbered... one by one the dogs will be killed. More and more by the dogs themselves...
That's the pride of all Sri Lankans...
Fake cause... pathetic lies... painful medicine. The next stage is to target the diaspora boys... sitting pretty in the west and instigating violence in the great country.

Sri Lanka , A Failed State ?
Sri Lanka has been ranked 25, between Rwanda and Ethiopia, on the list of Failed States Index (FSI) as computed by the US based Foreign Policy & Fund For Peace. Sri Lanka is one of the 28 countries in the red Alert segment headed by Sudan. Norway is at the other end of the list of 146 countries and hence the world?s best performer in terms of the Index. The FSI is an aggregate of scores for twelve criteria derived from a liberal democratic concept of the state. It is not the purpose of this essay to go into the merit of each of the criteria or into the validity of the statistical procedure. Edited By - Thambi - 19 May 2006 19:51:30 GMT |
