Hi Kumari,
I do not know about the other points, but i like to see people live there in peace and harmony. As we all know SL is a beautiful country with all the potentials to become a nice, developed country. All these bloody issues has ruined the country for so many years and we are still prepared to kill each other and get a solution. That is what worries me.
I would love to get back to SL, but I do not want to walk in to a country ruined by war. War fear is not an easy feeling. I saw how people in boarder villages suffered. They do not live, they just survive. No one cares, our people care about their pockets, I mean politicians and all. War is a good business for lots of people. That is a fact.
So, I hope we could achieve at least some of your points and live in peace and harmony. |

I don'y know in which part you used to live, but Its not THAT bad down there..especially if you live in South West. Believe me, they don't have much of a war fear these days!!

What you say above is very true, I've been to border villages..I mean BOTH Tamil AND Sinhalese...its shocking and sad....I've met some women who used to walk about 4-5 miles to get drinking water.

I mean ruined by the war. Our economy is downturn. We suffer from poverty and spend billions on war. Educated people are leaving the country for better prospects, bcs they do not paid well and there are more than enough places in other countries where they can earn well and live peacefully. |
