From a tactical viewpoint ..
SLAF Mi-24V HIND gunships will allow SLAF Mig-27M's to have a smart weapon attack capability.
The HIND can laser designate and illuminate the target for the Mig-27M to attack using laser-guided munitions. The 'Floggers' PrNK-23K nav/attack system, can track the illuminated target to allow it to release its laser-guided munitions.
Currently the SLAF Kfir-C7 is the only aircraft that has an independent smart weapon carry and attack capability. It's the only platform in the SLAF armoury that can deliver LGB's
The CoMPASS IV system will allow the SLAF to diversify its attacking options .. However, the current Mig-27M in the SLAF fleet will need some minor modifications to allow it to carry possible Pakistani imported Laser-Guided Kit fitted Mk-82 bombs

The EU will not always listen to what US says, because EU is not yankees poodle, which they have shown many times in the past.So what Donald Camp said about the banning of LTTE in EU is not going to materialise.Even if the ban comes nothing is going to change the ground reality.What is important about Donald Camp's view is that, he said that it is certainly the govt responsibility to uphold law and order.There need to be investgations and there need to be prosecutions. And it is crucial that every one is equal and everyone is treated equally.
So from Donald Camps views, US thinks that Sl govt has failed to full its duty,visavis,law and order. Furher US thinks that everybody is not treated equally by the govt.I think, these statement is very crucial in the future US policy decisions towards SL govt and the conflict. |

The Amnesty International has slammed the Government of Sri Lanka as having a record of 'disturbing pattern of incomplete or ineffective investigations' of the extrajudicial killings and said it has received credible reports that Sri Lanka Navy personnel and armed cadres affiliated with Eelam People's Democratic Party (EPDP), were present at the massacre site on Kayts islet. Thriteen civilians were massacred in three spots on the Kayts islet controlled by the Sri Lanka Navy Saturday night. The EPDP, a paramilitary and a political party in the ruling UPFA alliance of the SL President Mahinda Rajapakse, had exercised tight control of the Jaffna islets before the Ceasefire Agreement.
Condeming the outcome of GoS investigations of the extrajudicial killings in the past, the human rights watchdog said that the perpetrators of such violence generally operate with impunity. |

US in the business of banning organizations and countries. what has it achieved by that? they tried it with North Korea and they built the BOMB and they tried it on Iraq under Saddam they achieved nothing (and ended up invading with a new theory), they tried it on Cuba but Castro is still there, and now they are trying it on Iran..
They wanna conquer the world by isolating, disassociating and banning. One cannot solve problem by banning or dis including one party to the problem.
There are fools who never learn from their mistakes.

If anyone to be banned then it should be the USA for the crimes against the basic human rights of the UN charter. Crimes such as hijacking people and prisoning them without a trial or charge and for toucher.

WE should Urge European union to list US as Terrorist.
they commit all sort of crimes in another country.
they invaded a sovern country.
they killed over 30,000 people and increasing.
and now they want to urge others to Ban Tigers as terrorist, what a joke.
USA have lost its reputation , it had good reputation when Clinton was on power , because he was the one who created that goodwill.
and Dubya came and distroyed it.
all these -removed-and tom should keep their mouth and A%% shut.
tamils are fighting for their freedom from this murderors sinhala government.
they have been killing tamils daily. yesterday some people protested in kilinoch said if the rate of tamils killed by army continue for couple of years there wont be any tamils alive in army control tamil area. they urge international community to take action.
what is the problem with international delegation is this they come to colombo , they been interviewd by jurnalist from south only . in south they have jurnalist they hate tigers and tamils and they put a questions that are favoring sinhalese and arm forces. these western diplomats think that is the countrys view. if any tamil jurnalist ask some questions they were never allowed in next diplomats interview. its all state managed.
that is why countrys ethinic divide is deepening.
all those young boys were killed by army in nelliadi and other places , has any south news paper told the real story once its clear.
Intial report is scetchy once you have the true story why they hesitate to report? it is you that dividing the country not tamils.treating them as enimy and not as a fellow citizens of the country. |

A Sri Lankan Muslim can talk in support of anybody. Can a Tamil hiding under a Muslim name speak for the Muslims?
