Walking past plush Colombo 03 buildings, the Buddhist monks of the Meditation Centre in Ramnuthugala, Kadawatha, went for `Pindapatha`, at Temple Trees last Saturday, on an invitation from President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

I admire teaching of Buddha, but I am not font of Sri Lankan Buddhist Monks since they are looking like thugs and thieves.

When you look at someone with hatered in your mind it is only you who gets polluted not the object, it is a teaching by the Great man Lord Buddha. Learn to look at people with love, kindness and compassion not with hatred filled with evil anger.

I am born catholic and valued church goer but I learn Buddhism and its teachings which are far deep than any religion in the world. No body can logically break any factors shown in Buddhism.

People like you always treat Sinhalese and Buddhist monks as your personal enemies because your leaders have trained you to be that way. Therefore, you always treat others as your enemies. This is not your fault and it is a result of having war for more than 25 years.
If you have a chance, just learn some of the Buddha's teaching and you don't need to worship any monks in SL.

The same Bikkus you all are talking about formed a political party and prevented any political settlement for Tamils.
Tell me my dear friends, if they are really following Buddha's teaching should not they keeping themselves away from political spectrum like other religious leaders do in Island and try to teach harmony.
Why they stirred the ethnic tension in Thruconamalay by installing Buddha statue in the center of market and Tamil neighborhood?
Why they are so active in colonizing eastern Tamil regions and formed Sinhalese settlements?
Why they come down to street and protest against some foreign diplomats?
Why they are even in Parliament and force the GoSL wagging war against LTTE?
