Dear Bheesan:
For your information, all Tamils who immigrated to Western countries can speak Tamil and even their children those born in foreign lands can do perfectly. Fortunately, we keep our language alive since Western countries and their governments do not oppress other culture and traditions.
As like all people in this forum you asked me a question for shaking of asking something, yes Adele Balasingham can speak perfect Tamil since she has been lived with LTTE women cardres for long in home land in 90s. Edited By - Sritharan - 14 May 2006 03:49:33 GMT |

Or maybe its a stupid trick to protect their remaining boats??? |

according to what i have heard (news and SL navy commander associates who are my friends)
the transport craft was moved out to sea (beyond 40 NM range)
the navy saw the LTTE craft 30 miles ahead of time (so give 1 hour to move tranport outside)
then they went to action. all the passangers on transport were orderd to lay down while ships guns were manned by armed sailors
in my opinion it was day that sea tigers really got a beating, they have less than 20 craft, they lost 2-4 craft (exclusind suicide boats all 4 of those were destroyed) |

Dravidian :
go back to 1991. Under premadasa, SL army again like during the ranil era weakend. LTTE had a defacto state operating in Jaffna peninsula, and Vanni. Army restricted in to barracks
Gov changes LTTE talks again, builds up. then gets kicked out in 1995 out of Jaffna
2001 LTTE almost makes it to Jaffna town, but runs out of steam against fierce opposition by sri lanka, then begins a 25 mile retreat all the way to EP with huge loss of lives
unable to stand the retreat LTTE does what it doest best when under attack; ceasefire.
in 1985, LTTE with other tamil groups have taken over Jaffna, sl army finally does clean up operation in valvatithurai and vadamarachchi region agaist LTTE. LTTE retreats and calls for india help. India steps in, we know the rest ending raviv gandis death!
LTTE was never about getting a solution for tamils. they instead used tamil cause to get thier agenda through. it was never about improving the lives of tamils, it was all about LTTE and no one else. It was all about thier way or the highway. this childish behavior by prabhakaran has to stop for this to end. if not more tamils will die because of this mad man. |

Bheesan:
I am not acquaintance to Karthika, but I own the book written by Adele. It is called 'The Will to Freedom', in that book she is describing how she starts to learn Tamil from LTTE cadres during her time in Jaffna and Wanni.

What equality you are talking about. That P'akaraan's children gets education in Europe, Thamil Sellangs children in UK and poor Tamil children become suicidal zombies. |

Eelan..I do understand your pain inside. Ther is no Country in this World which would allow A TERRORIST organization
Legitimate access to the Sea. You might say the it is the right of the Tamil People !. What Tamil People?! Are you talking of Fishermen. They do have access only for Fishing and nothing else. Well, If they wish to have a 'good bath' to get rid of the smell of Fish..jolly well they could bathe until their skin sours. Except for this BOY... you cannot claim the Sea. IT IS SIMPLE AS THAT.
The LTTE cannot claim access to the Sea because it is International Law which forbids such claims for a Terrorist Organization like the LTTE.
You could have your say for Prabakaran and the 'lame' Thamilchelvan to have a swim in and around Pasikuda, but that too without the notice of the Sri Lankan Forces !.Agreed... go ahead...NO one would object to this enjoyment.
Bheesan..NO MATTER WHAT... these poor deluded Souls would never ever come to terms with reality. Praba, Tamil Chelvan and that guy Anton are playing games.. these 'brainwashed'
guys whether in Sri Lanka or in anywhere else don't understand what you had written. They are being programmed so effectively that nothing else matters... Edited By - MorafiNes - 14 May 2006 06:20:34 GMT |

| MoraFines, this maybe beyond your understanding but there is in international law a way of attaining statehood by proof that you are exercising control of a defined geographical area. In history it has been seen that regimes that were once deemed illegal were later given recognition by other nations over time and then they were regarded as legal. This is exactly what the LTTE has been trying to do and is working towards. Control of the water adjacent to the land you claim to control is pretty significant. Historically in all these cases the regime fought and maintained their dominance by force. At some point when they believe they have sufficiently fortified their position they could declare nationhood/statehood. Much depends on how other nations view them. So this is far beyond fishing and bathing for tamils!! |
