| Peace talks did not work. So here we are back at war, killing each other, making arms dealers (and their commission agents) richer and every Sri Lankan poorer. We have no control over our history. Arguing and fighting to claim who came first to this Island, thousands of years ago, is immaterial today. Sri Lanka today is a multiethnic, multicultural, multi-religious country. I am sure one day DNA evidence will prove that the origin of Tamils and Singhalese are in fact the same, we are all members of one family. We have embraced a democratic system to govern ourselves just like most other civilized societies in this world. Every citizen of this country - Singhala, Tamil, Muslim, Malay, Burger, Chinese and others must have the freedom and right to travel to any part of this Island and to live and work wherever they want. In a democracy, we must realize that there is a majority community and one or more minority communities. We must learn to accept this reality and to live with it. |

TC... the shackled-for-good one,
there are 4 basic needs for a UDI. (maybe more !)
- a defined territory
- ability of self governance and
- an identifiable population.
- interantional Recognition by at least one independant country is important to achieve international statehood.
the first 3 is there.(a little more work needed on item 1 but thats
a formality!.)
the 4th is what the LTTE is working on. UN recognition comes after this.
I am not surprised that you are able to 'dream' while living in the darkness of the 'We Tamils' little box.
Is the dream becoming a nightmare when red hot mad dog blood being spilled by the fellow dogs.
Nothing... nothing should be result for the LTTE mad dogs through violence. Everything and anything should be available through discussions.
Peace loving Tamils, go round up the LTTE mad dogs and force them to leave or kill them on the spot. The proud SLA are their to give you a helping hand!

That's MUCH BETTER. Keep the garbage that's rotting with yourselves... right in the middle of the living rooms of your houses. Do not try to distribute to other residents in your area.
However, I, being a responsible citizen, am calling the municipality to go into your houses and remove the garbage that is making everyone in your household sick... and hand over a HEFTY FINE to you.
In the meantime, enjoy the rotting garbage.
