Several personnel of the security forces were killed in attacks carried out by tiger terrorists yesterday. (13th).
In an attack carried out by tiger terrorists at Nochchimudai at Vavuniya two soldiers of S.L. Army were killed. Another soldier died in an ambush carried out by tiger terrorists at Kolumbuthurai in Jaffna.
Tiger terrorists also carried out an attack on the STF camp at Maradamune this morning. Personnel of STF had successfully repulsed the terrorist attack killing one terrorist.
This is how LTTE kills soldiers. Undertypical situations, SLA does not take this kind of cr*p from LTTE. SLA need to go and clean the whole area and make the whole area pay.
In order to understand whether that is the norm or not, just how, many armies in the wolrd handle conflicts. Even Indian army as IPKF did that when they were in SL.
But, SLA soldiers get killed, still they don't kill tamil tamils haphazardously.
But as you are a tamil, you choose to be biased. You emotions override reasoning.
My explanantion is that is why 'god' made you live among other ethnic groups. So will have more interactions with them and you will learn. |

I've never been to JAFFNA. I have never seen a tiger or any sl forces. I am worried about my relatives who live in Sri lanka. My father only 54 yeas is living with deep depression after he went through severe afflictions and losses what they had in their life in Sri Lanka. When I see my father I hate war and warmonger that is why I cried for peace all these days. I have Sinhal relatives too. My father's brother married Sinhala women and my father lost contact with his brother. He was thinking of his brother all the time. So war separated us from our dear ones. |

youre kind of correct. There are No CIVILAINS (taking out the fishermen)

this maybe beyond your understanding but there is in international law a way of attaining statehood by proof that you are exercising co
ntrol of a defined geographical area.
there are 4 basic needs for a UDI. (maybe more !)
- a defined territory
- ability of self governance and
- an identifiable population.
- interantional Recognition by at least one independant country is important to achieve international statehood.
the first 3 is there.(a little more work needed on item 1 but thats
a formality!.)
the 4th is what the LTTE is working on. UN recognition comes after this.
so if and when An UDI is declared the WORLD will Initailly cut us off when
ITEM 4 is being worked on. able to sustain ourselves during this time
is what the GAME is all about now. |

I also have tamil relatives through marriages. right, there is a tamil friends in my home as a relative.
Your farther has to go through depression is sad and frustrating.
AS you have suffered, you need to give up the sinhala and tamil label ans think beyond that.
My relatives and frineds were killed by very pathetic means by both the JVP and LTTE. Generally speaking, I am feelings wise num to those things. Because, I know so many things. I have relatives still who are displaced and can not move to their lands in the East.
That is part of the growing process.
Other wise, you get old but do not grow old.
Remember most people are got old but they did not grow old. |

So many times in my postings I wrote that Sinhalese and Tamils are my brethren. you would have noticed that. there is no distinction among the people for I was grown up in europe. |

Some news report said, That General Rathwaththe has been appointed as the in charge of self - defence training for civilians.
General Rathwaththe should understand that he does not have a good reputation as to the use of govt funds.
This time, he should be careful and should act like a true solider and not like a theif. |
