On that fateful day there were not even the guard dog in HQ and there is no CCTV as you said. I don't why a place of hugh security is so careless of these issues. Like Kadir's killing the LTTE can always use the weaknesses in our forces. Mahinda mama should take more precautions to such attacks. I think army HQ should probably be some where else than the present place due to security reasons. |

It is awful to hear that we are little poor in security. I have been in the U.S. couple years now and they have video cameras every important place that they should have. Also, they have id system and all they need to do is enter the ID card number and picture and everything comes right up in the computer which helps to identify who this person is. In Sri Lanka, when they give ID card number, I do not know the place that ID card issued has a record of which ID card number issued.
Best thing is to input all ID card number and put in to computerized system where you type in the ID card number, you can get the place, date of birth, picture of him and all that. It is amazing to me even how they figure out that this latest suicide attacker stolen the ID from someone who is alive, which is a good news but if we have had and ID card system and all the numbers issued, we would have found this sooner! |
