AnuD,

There were no slums in Jaffna and I do not live in a Western country either.

If you were in tamilnadu, YOU ARE STILL A COOLIE as your ancestors were.

Ha! Ha! Ha! He! He! He! Hu! Hu! Hu! Ho! Ho! Ho!

I just cannot stop LOL.
The greatest joke of the decade!!

Was it your grandma's bedtime story?
Did you eat a lot of Kavum during the new year?

Have you forgotten your recent history?

There was a clearly demarcated and well defined natural boundary (forests and lakes) between the Tamil speaking NE and the rest of the Island before the Portuguese arrived(Read the books and articles written by the Portuguese and the Dutch).

Have you forgotten your ancient history?

Once upon a time in India, some convicted criminals were exiled out of the country.

Due to a heavy Strom in the bay of Bengal, their boat drifted for days and finally by chance, it landed in an Island where people (Nagas) were already living.

These kallathoni criminals led by their chief known as Vijay landed without any permission from those people attacked and killed those people, took their princess and their whole country.

Even today they are continuing to attack them and forcefully occupying their native lands.

Did not your grandma tell true stories for bed time?

Tamilcanuck,
what is wrong with natural beauty, coconut trees, ocean breezes, all round good weather?! Most countries don't have these luxuries, so those who have should cherish them!

Like I said, if I am ignorant then you must be very enlightened!

The way I see it, during past ten years and especially in april, 2003, GoSL and LTTE agreed to pursue a federal system or similar. It is time to honour that pledge and not become a menace to the world by further violence! Otherwise we will become the headache of south asia!

Therefore, it is now time to pursue nogotiations in earnst to that end! Also, international mediation, international facilitation, SLMM and all these from the likes of USA, Japan, Norway and EU and are there because of requests by the LTTE! not GoSL! So there is no logic or reason to start any violence. Also, if LTTE says there are the true reps. of tamil people, then they have a very serious obligation to go for negotiations that much more!

War should be the only study of a prince. He should consider peace only as a breathing-time, which gives him leisure to contrive, and furnishes as ability to execute, military plans.

Appropos Media Freedom and the attack on the Jaffna Newspaper, here is a well written, impartial and introspective article to read :

Oi Sanath,

Why cant you have a tamil name if you talking rubbish like your velu. This shows the Sinhalese names have been copied by the tamils. Not sure why they are talking so much patriotism if they can copy Sinhalese names

Forest:

If you read more about the tamil problem and the struggle how it began in TamilNadu with the British Colonisation and also the childhood of Velu you would be different.

Still, if you talk the same thing it is just blood is thicker than .....

The problems between the SLG and the LTTE are nothing compared to some of you guys issues about mommas exchanging DNA with whoever.
Let's keep this to a slightly higher level, shall we?

Everybody is taking advantage of poor Akashi's amatuerish situation. Solly and the clan from Norway are now too seasoned to be freaked out by teeth gnashing, so the LTTE doesn't try it with them. Akashi is the new meat to the starving tiger turned fleabitten mongrel.

Asian Tribune says, that velu sent a letter to MahindaR via Mr. Akashi, the Japanese envoy.

Mr. Mahinda Rajapakse should reveal the contents of the letter.

MahindaR should not trust at all Velu.

On the other hand, MR should not try to handle Velu's rhetoric on his own.
