Army website - a challenge to malicious and distorted reports - Commander

`The Army website would definitely pose a challenge to wrong, malicious and distorted reports of our adversaries`, said the army chief Lt. Gen. Sarath Fonseka at the re-launching the army website www.army.lk last Friday.
The new army web portal, with its accelerated desimination of information, will be able to effectively counter these misleading reports, he noted.
`There are some who are ready to go to any extent to tarnish the image of the army, he pointed out.
As the army website has now been transformed in accordance with necessary speed and other technical developments in the world, it would have the strength in future to project the military`s image and promote, more importantly, the truth Commander Fonseka stressed.
The army Web portal is a popular organ of information not only among Sri Lankans, but also amongst thousands of foreigners and expatriates, he said.
The present army website, originally launched in 2001, as the first military Web portal, has come a long way in achieving this target. `But it is the latest technology that runs parallel to its efficiency and speed particularly when time constraints are taken into consideration Lt. Gen. Fonseka explained.
`Participation of overseas surfers is another important aspect that can be regarded as a major development that we have so far achieved, but technical defects posed many problems for the smooth functioning of this website until recent times`, he noted.

The new army web will make a path to false propaganda against Tamil people and SLA will carry out more atrocities on Tamil population.
Who is right, who is wrong, God only knows!

Even the GOSL's information is more sure than the army one.
Army is not under GOSL control, if it is the case, GOSL must accused of beeing the responsible of daily atrocities and intimidations commited against the Tamil people (so not forcebily a LTTE supporter).
SLA do house to house search without a legal base. Is it not a terrorist act ?
SLA cannot be trusted. SLA is an army who continue to oppress and harass Tamil people specialy. SLA is an army of occupation, as US army in Irak. SLA is an army of strangers who occupy a country dominated by Tamils.
If we compare LTTE and SLA, there is no foto. LTTE never searched to DOMINATE Sinhalases, it only searched to defend Tamils.
SLA search to DOMINATE Tamil people, they only defend the Sinhala nation interest(Sri lanka).
Unfortunately for websites like Lankatruth, SinhalaNet(a sinhala copy of TamilNet), or army.lk false propaganda is King. |
