Magha,

I agree with Tamilcanuck - about the feelings with which you interpret what I write. Common investors are family and that feeling of family protects us from hurting each other by 'showing' our thinking. At the deeper level we do not even think adversely but merely feel the need of the other as ours. The we express for the common purpose, using our own language where the common language cannot be comfortably used.

Hence if you seek to be our opposition, please respect our work enough to accept what we say at face value unless there is a public correction by a fellow community member. This is a fundamental principle of democracy. Once you go behind the work to connect to the minds of people - you are losing the comforts of democracy. So - make up your mind whether you are our family or opposition. Then STICK to it at all times.

Tamilcanuck,

It is clear that it was a mistake. Apologies accepted though you did not have to apologize. I do not insult religions , but get harsh with people who try to misinterpret religion to show superiority above others.
Cheers.

Waruna,

You think every Buddhist is a Chauvinist racist donkey like you.

Tell me where Buddha had asked his disciples to worship 'Bo' trees, make his statues , and preserve his relics and worship? After Buddha's death there were idiots like you who started those and now trying to build Buddha statues in every street corner insulting Buddha.

Tell me about any Buddhist chronicle in the world other than Mahwamsa said about Buddha's visit to Sri Lanka.

Waruna ,your cheap Chauvinism, racism and stupidity is good for nothing but to destroy ethnic and religious harmony in the country as well as betraying Buddhism.

Magha,

I support Waruna in this one. You are not a Buddhist if you do not respect and value other Buddhists. Some of them need physical representations through which to follow their faith and to connect to others. Yours is only one way - if indeed it could be called a way. The parallel of the idols is your facts in general life. The parallel of the dung is the rubbish that holds the Truth to make it a fact. The parallel of the Holy Ash is the Basic theory we discover. The parallel of the ceremony through which we apply it is the Law that flows from the Truth discovered.

By making fun of religion you are hurting those to whom those physical ceremonies are the main path to God. Your karma will return with others laughing at your facts - especially Sinhalese who do not need facts to connect to each other because they are genuinely Trusting in Buddha's powers and therefore intuitively connect to each other.

Waruna,

I do not want to lecture about Buddhism to donkeys, but I asked you some questions . It appears that you do not have any answers.

Let me ask you another question . Are you a disciple of Hypocrite 'Soma thera' who got screwed up trying to get a bogus doctorate from another bogus Christian organization in in Russia? This may be very simple to your donkey brain.

'Tell me about any Buddhist chronicle in the world other than Mahwamsa said about Buddha's visit to Sri Lanka. '

Below is one example, If time permits i will try to find more.

The gods revealed to him that it had been made by the Buddha. The legend of the Buddha's visits to Sri Lanka is not, it should be noted, confined to the Theravada tradition. The Lankavatara Sutra, the seminal text of the Ch'an and Zen schools of Buddhism, was supposedly taught by the Buddha while residing on Malayagiri, 'which shone like a jewel lotus, immaculate and shining in splendour'.
***The Chrakasamvara Tantra mentions the Buddha flying to Lanka and leaving the impression of his foot on a mountain which it doesn't name but which at least one contemporary Tibetan scholar has mistakenly identified as Mount Kailash in the western Himalayas.

Gaja Lakshmi,
I have not ridiculed Hinduism, your attempt to make your self important and superior than any one else as well as you own mistakes made certain things a big joke .

Firstly, I have not insulted Buddhism by saying that I am a Buddhist that do not worship , Bo trees, clay statues or Stupas. Buddhist Philosophy is not that, those are rituals not taught by Buddha. I can be a Buddhist not observing those rituals.
Secondly it was some one else who wanted to ridicule the religion I believe. So I asked the person to post if there are any jokes about Buddhism. And that is not ridiculing the religion . It is the person who wants to post such jokes ridicules Buddhism.

Similarly Buddhism had been betrayed in Sri Lanka, by no one else other than Singhalese Donkeys like Waruna .

There are many Singhalese Buddhist like Waruna, frozen cognitively in a time period of the history of the country. When they do not see the dialectical process of the development of a society locally and globally they continue to hate certain sectors of the society for historical reasons . This phenomenon is not unique to Singhalese but also to many Tamils too.

If a person criticize the Chauvinism and hegemony of a certain religious society then it is perceived as blasphemy. This is true for people of every religion because of the ignorance of the devotees.

How interesting, Lankavatara Sutra, belonging to Mahayana Buddhism , but Nothing is known about its author, the time of its composition, or its original form. Several people had translated it with different interpretations of when it took place. the Japanes Scholar Suziki?s translation from Sanskrit says about Ravana living in Sri Lanka at the time of Buddha?s visit which contradicts with Hindu Mythology. The Lotus sutra has Gautama Buddha born in Sri Lanka and he is given the name Sinhala, a favor that its Mahayana authors should not have offered to Sinhalese Buddhists who did not welcome South Indian Mahayanists to their island.

This shows the absolute confusion in history not knowing when these Sutra?s were written.
