These are straight-forward matters as black against white.
Any normal citizen would not challenge clearly defined laws.
What you are seeing here is nothing new.
Some folks on this forum 'invest' huge amount of time and money to confuse unsuspecting people...and for doing that they are handsomely compensated by the LTTE butchers.
Their ultimate goal is to get GOSL and IC bend existing rules, norms and regulations and make room for demands of a special breed of people...not the ordinary Tamils, but their so-called self-appointed 'leaders'.
Unfortunately, on the other side of the coin, some folks fall into these confusion traps and I see now they are spending too much time, trying to educate the culprits and put the matters in correct perspective! BUT WITHOUT COMPENSATION...and worst of all WITHOUT SUCCCESS!
And you guessed it...those on the LTTE payroll have a mission...which has already written down the rules of the game...so obviously they WILL NEVER ACCEPT TRUTH AND REALITY NO MATTER HOW CLEAR THE FACTS AND EVIDENCE ARE!
And with their tongues in their cheek, they will always come out with more and more rubbish to confuse anyone who tries to reason out.

I cannot take your above comment as a justification for the cause of LTTE. Blowing up the airport was one of the long list of destructions the LTTE committed so far and one can not justify that as a mark for freedom fighting.
I have never denied the tamils have been deprived in the last 50 odd years, which is a fact and that is why the Sinhalese leaders must contemplate a viable solution for the NE tamils' long struggle and I do see the point. But in order to win the support one cannot continue go on the offensive all the time. Because what the country need is some understanding between the communities and that is something I have been telling frequently on this forum. Igniting racial hatred or causing detriment is not the correct way to get it. Mistakes have been done, but the important thing is get the mistakes corrected not to keep on harping on the same string.
In fact I was quite aggrieved when I learnt the Jaffna library was burnt in 81 and the loss of valuable cultural scripts. But we have to move on from there. If we keep saying the things to ignite it will only lead to more chaos than anything any progressive.
That is why by providing money and to get anti-social things done cannot be accepted by any means. They are simply despicable and dolorous.
Peaceful means is the most appropriate way to get things implemented. |

Before making any conclusions just read the original story reported by the 'Lankanewspapers'. don't go to far in to the story just the first line..
'..Sri Lanka's navy on Wednesday seized a fishing boat suspected of smuggling explosives to the Tamil Tiger rebels and detained five ethnic Tamils, a day after an exchange of fire between the rebels and the navy..'

Yes, there are some whose life is LttE nothing but LttE. There is no way convincing them ...
But, it is essential to point out the nullity of their concepts in order to prevent innocent readers being swindled.
Few concepts of the IRC brigade :

- beat and cry murder when beaten,
- hide behind civilians and attack. Provoke SLA to attack peace loving Tamils so as to polarize the country more and more.

do you know the largest Air base in the country shares the runway with the Largest Airport in the country!! the only reason the airbase wasnt moved was because the civilian airport next door gave it protection and not the other way around. GOSL knew that the tigers wouldnt TOUCH the airport incase a Foreigner got killed and they could claim International TERRORISM!!. infact a ukrainian pilot was injured and GOSL tried to use it but didnt get far.
as far as i know the airport itself wasnt touched. The planes were all they were after. Ofcourse the LTTE also was after the economy. hit the economy hard and the money dries up to wage a war. pretty simple theory. no rocket science here. |
