LTTE was preparing for this for sometime.
They were sailing in suspicious manner infront of SLN. when ever SLN tried to intervene LTTE was shooting from land.
All those were for this.
Dr Akai:
LTTE was renting rooms in Negombo for preparing for the Katunayake Attack. They sued to come in a bus similar to 'Private buses' to play soccer in a field near a the Airport. They came everyday. It had a board saying MATARA. So no one suspected. They also learned the short cuts that airforce men took to go to negombo and to pubs that they were used to go. Inthose pubs they chatted with airmen.
Finally, they used the same short cut that those airmen used to come and go to the airport to attack.

It shows how morally corrupt this bunch of loonies to deceive the system.
I feel all the poor airport workers were lavishly paid with dirty money(allegedly known as liberal fighters' funding). This is one way of working towards demoralising the social etiquette. |

You need not give any explantions to every Tom, Dick and Harry asking the background of the incident, complicating matters and wasting time.
You protect Sri Lanka's shores and no arms should cross over from any place. Period.
If anyone brings in arms to attack proud security forces, please shoot to kill first, then do the talking. |

what Expat is saying is that if you take the KIA job there were sinhalese involved. money buys a lot of stuff and people. why do you think Karuna flipped!
during last maarveer week tamil Tv here was showing old footage. one of those was about sea tigers. If you see the boats these guys ride in you would realise why tamils dont buy this sort of nonsense using fishin trawlers to smuggle stuff in. Only NON state entity in the World to have a NAVY! |

Sri Lanka will not function as a country without bribery. It will simply grind to a halt. I am surprised you are unaware of this. From lowly peons in offices to the president of the country there is bribery and corruption. This is a national disease and not, as you claim, confined to the LTTE.
The LTTE knows that money talks and that it talks well.If you use foreign currency you can get anything done. Shiploads of arms still reach the LTTE held areas because of high level money transactions between the LTTE and the SL military.
What ExpatPuli said was well known and it is not some revelation.Many of the MBRL's were purchased by the LTTE directly from the SL military paying hard cash. How do you think your former army commander became a multi millionnaire? |

Gents, I am not taking sides its a disease that people have irrespective of any race, yes. This is why I am saying that the winner takes it all. But its like if you go for an auction and bid with the highest possible stake you win it. Its simple. The LTTE has the money from the expatriates and other dealings known/unknown etc. to play with the poor Sinhalese workers and they are desperate for money to make their ends meet. So instead of seeing the poor Rs 100 or 200, dirty intentional things can be achieved with a few hundreds of dollars as handouts.
Is this morally right to get the donkey work done?
I am not saying any of the guys are innocent, the problem lies with the social set up, for that reason money talks.
I know when I go to SL I can do more things than many of the local mates but I would not do the wrong thing by providing handouts of sterling pounds. I feel we have morals and ethics for that reason, any educated and well to do person should possess these charactersitics. If you support a movement to get others in trouble or with the intention of disrupting one social administration, that is anti-social, which can not be condoned as an excuse for other political leeway.
That is why I don't see any legitimacy in such activities. |
