Yes I read that about Royal College. Good work by them but not given due publicity. Perhaps Royalists do not seek publicity much. They work behind the scene. |

by Kalutara Corr.
The prices of kitul honey and jaggery have shot up as these items has increased.
The high price of sugar in the open market is also a contributory factor for the price increase.
Kitul jaggery production has become a money-spinner for the villagers in Kelinkanda, Yatapatha, Yagirala and other interior villages of Pasdun Rata.
The traders who visit these villages to purchase jaggery have to pay double the price they paid earlier. |

Royal College over 70 age group get-together
All old Royalists over 70 years of age with their spouses will be meeting for their bi- annual lunch get- together on Sunday November 22, 2009 at 11.30 a.m at the Dutch Burgher Union Club.
A special sumptuous meal for the over 70s is being prepared by a well known caterer who is an old Royalist M/s Perera and Sons.
The Organising Committee of the over 70 group comprises of the following energetic old royalists Lionel Dissanayake (Chairman) Tony Anghie, Jayantha Gunasekera PC, Prof. D.C.R.A. Gunatilleke, Dr. G.N. Jayakuru, K. Manikavasagar, Nalin Gunawardena, D.L. Seneviratne. D.K. Wijeyaratne and Clarence Welikala. |
