i was playing with my EQ and was able to fine tune a bit. it sounds better now.
It also depends on where you site your sub (as well as noraml speakers.) Closer to a wall will augment the bass.
You can also buy a Test CD that will put out test tones at different frequencies to test your system. What you think it produces and what it actually produce will be a surprise!
You could also buy a SPL meter to check from your listening position, I guess, ML might know more about this. I simply do it by ear using a simple piano track and an acoustic piano. If I get it close enough most other things sound right.
i saw little tweeters at an audio shop, is it a good idea to add with the speaker system to get the 8-16 KHZ range?
Why do you want to add another tweeter? Any good loudspeaker should produce up to 16kHz and most do up to 20kHz. That's the easy part. If you want, you can replace your tweeter with a good quality ribbon tweeter, but then you have to also (most probably) alter the crossover to integrate them properly.
Personally, if I want to put together a super-duper system what I would go for is super tweeters like these,

I will also go for subs (super subs?) that will go down to about 8 - 5Hz (from 30 - 20 Hz,) there is a whole area of mumbo jumbo where they say that frequencies can be felt although they cant be heard.
But the best bass I've ever heard is from large panels, there is very little boxiness, boom and overhang. A friend has Martin-Logan CLS IIz driven by Cary 805s and Magnepan Tympani IV bass panels driven by custom made SS amps. It's closer to the real bass than anything else I've heard. |

No, No, nothing like that, very soon we might have another birth on LNP besides Ruwani's bundle. I may be putting the cart before the horse but anyway, good ole' JRJ has bought GG a diamond engagement ring! Things have been moving quite fast during your absence. I'll let GG and JRJ tell you the venue and the rest of it. All I know for now is that TC will be conducting the service, Penn is the bridesmaid and ML is the best man, Piyal is the master of ceremonies. Maitreya is the usher for body heart and souls. Ruwani will be singing The Wedding Song. You are in charge of security to keep the LNP paparazzi at bay. I'll be driving the Honeymoon limo, the bride is in safe hands. Well, who expected it all to finish up this way? |
