Bhairavane
Its a nice song by Shania Twain, she is the only country signer I like.
Your hubby will smile whenever he reaches the home.
lol...food on the table ,house is clean any man is happy.
High maintenece...no way I would say I am intermediate in rafting, I just like anything aquatic may be because I know to swim the fear is not there. I have yet to try snuba which is pretty easy I hear.
Ahha you don't need to go to SL to find the girls, most of the girls from SL freaked me on my last trip, I was like the poor village girl,to top it the English accent they had I was very much confused(next time I am going to do sign language). What I am trying to say is you have to do a deep search to find the right one not easy. |

Hi Maitreya,
What brand Valve amps you have? Do you still use them to listen music or you have the latest high end receivers.
I have Leak, Radford and a few other lesser known English brands, MacIntosh, Marantz, Fisher, Brooke, Audio Research and few other lesser known American brands and Luxman from Japan. Out of all Leak TL12.1 are my favourite. Like I said before the only difference with them and others is, they have paper-in-oil power smoothing capacitors. Not huge values like modern amps, a C-L-C with 8 micro Farads for each C, but well implemented, and triode connected KT66 power valves. So, on the whole by design or by accident they have created a very good amplifier. You need 2 of them for stereo, when rarely they come on the market fetch over $3000 each. They are the most natural sounding amps that I've come across. What I mean by natural is, sort of the difference between an electric piano and a real one.
i wanted to ask you that is it surround sound mode is good for listening Music or it is just for movie sound track?
I hate surround sound for music, it's only good for a cheap thrill. The simplest things are the best. Try listening to well made single-driver horn speakers with a 2-3 watt high quality single-ended valve amplifier. Or in mono to a vintage Tannoy or Quad 57 electrostatics with a Leak TL12.1 or something similar, you'll know what I mean.
i do have good shielded cable, i would have probably paid about $ 5.00 a meter.
Yep, if you know how to make one it doesn't cost much, there are heaps of sites on the net that tell you how to make them. For a start you can get very good wire from Belden and do the rest yourself. If you get OFC copper and Teflon insulation that works out fine. Shielding depends on how you do it, if it's too close to the current carrying wires not too good.
Do you have a nice home theatre set up?
No, a 15 year old CRT that works just fine, time passes slowly in this household! No technology for technology's sake. We don't watch much TV, I was looking around to get a new big LCD but there are so many new formats to consider, as usual not easy to decide on one. |

You must have a house full of all these nice amps. What do you think about Yamaha brand?.
they have paper-in-oil power smoothing capacitors.
i have never heard any music from oil powered capacitor amps.
Do they still make them, when i can demo it or get a listening experience any where? it will be interesting to check it out.

i agree, when i listen on surround sound mode it sound wired. thats is why i switch stereo mode. Something i confirmed : ))

When you buy one make sure 2 things. it should be able to play 1920 X 1080P video and has a HDMI connector. HDMI is the new AV connector for HD/Blue Ray DVD player / PCs etc. The HDTV is 1440 X 720P low resolution video, that is what we see on HDTVs. Most cheap HD television sets only support 1440 X 720 P low resolution video. But our HD home camcorder and HD DVD movies all will have higher quality 1920 X 1080 P video. Also Buy LCD TV instead of rear projection or
Plasma tv. LCD prices are coming down. also buy a reputable proven brand such as Toshiba. |

Penn,
So you are back from a stint of submarine kayaking and looking for a fight? I'll give you one. But shall wait till some oxygen gets back into your brain.
As for Thilagam, what I wrote still stands, it's a true description of the guy. I never believe in the goody-goodness of him or anyone else for that matter, for me there are only varying shades of bad, nothing is a surprise, when people go off their rocker, I don't go off mine, especially on this thread that supposedly leaves all the personal nasties outside. That's all I have to say, I'll tip toe over the rest of the minefield.
Oh is that Long damn you GG, your confession is way too long I missed all the drama.
oh bummer! What a big decision you are so great! What will they do without you.
LOL....
It's a far too charitable character referral than I would have given myself! I was really after GG's dog; that pooch doesn't have a clue how close she was to the best night of her life!
Now, that the cat is out of the bag, I suppose, that free meal is definitely off. Edited By - hellogoodbye - 30 May 2007 01:13:38 G |

Ruwani nago,
what i have done to deserve this Ruwani?
I think you got it wrong about Maitreya. He's a good, decent bloke. Probably you got the names wrong. I would not definitely put Maitreya in the same basket as the Bahiravaya.
JRJ
Maitreya,
Btw, I like that PSB hit, a cool song, thanks :)) |
