Thilagam Ayya,
I am glad to hear that you have played with in some band from Moratuwa, what was the instrument did you play?
Does your friends uncle played with Clarence?
Thanks for the reply. I play a bit of guitar, but in the band I was doing vocals only. We just played small bookings like weddings, casinos and Christmas and New Years in down south hotels.
Yes my friend's Uncle did play with Clarence, I am not sure about his name but his last name is Peiris.
For me also it was more for fun than making money. And I really miss it a lot now.
What instrument did you play? I am sure also that you played at a higher level with much bigger audiences than I got to.
Well I have to get myself motivated to practice guitar again, so I might ask you for some pointers some time in the future over this forum.
Take Care Anna

Thilagam anna,
How are you doing? It seems you have been busy during the past couple of days.
An encouragement from me. Whenever a colleague shjows you a cigarette, drink a glass of water and log in to LNP for a while :)) |

Thilagam ayya,
What happened to you? I missed you. You have not visited my space so was thinking whether you have gone some where comfy and cosy in the winter months.
I see you as a smoker too. Its one heck of craving I have it too. When I start pumping down the alcohol I need to take one or two. But recently I have reduced both my alcohol intake and ciggies. After all its a bad habbit, but you cannot stop it, I know.
Anyway, ayya, no drink is no life for me. I know some folks here will start kicking the bucket at me now. What to do for all wrong reasons. At least I am proud that I am not a weed killer ;) How about you?

not to point fingers here but i heard this 'story' a long long time back.
a dude goes to the doctor and tells him doc i need to live a long and healthy life. is there anything i can do.
so the doc asks him do you smoke, he says no
do you drink he says no
how is your intimacy life, almost non existent.
doc looks at him and says why the F&*^ do you want to live long!
(no trees or persons were harmed in making this story! all characters are fictional!) |

Nice to see you and great attempt. But let me say one thing.
Stopped smoking - well done
planning to stop drinking - I am disappointed bro, I need a partner in this, it seems most of the Sri Lankasn want to be bloody teetollers, what the F^%£* is going on.
No more meat -ok, that is good both for human reasons and health I appreciate that.
Ok, ayya, let s say at least stick to drinking, you know the whiskey, arrack and kassippu and nothing to beat the toddy (tal raa) down in the Puttalam Road when you go towards North.
