Ruwani, TC
the term kiwikanga denotes a combination of kiwi ( because I am a permenant resident of NZ) and kanga( shortened form for kangaroo because I work in Aussi) and it's not that my name is kangatharan or that I am a tamil and an eelam supporter. I am a sinhalese and a citizen of Sri Lanka.
Anyway the more racism harboured and spread by people like Ruwani and the failure to think moderately the problems in the country would drag on an on and the people in the north as well as in the south of SL would not have peace of mind and would be wondering when the next bomb would go off blowing their brains off! Penn,
I promised you to go personal but in doing so somewhat slipped the regular duties at Ro/Tho!
Kikiwanga,
Don't worry, one day we are all going to die. |

Ruwani,
If I caused any pain of mind , please accept my appologies. To forgive and seek forgiveness was something we were taught at Royal College.
All the others,
Thanks for being supportive and appreciative of me. Edited By - kiwikanga - 20 Jan 2007 13:59:34 GMT |

Kiwikanga,
I don't think you owe an apology to anyone. I have always found you to be a very decent and considerate member of the forum. It would be churlish of me (or anyone else for that matter) not to acknowledge. I always read your posts with great interest as you always contribute substance to a discussion. I value your knowledge of the SL legal/justice system.
I don't think Ruwani is a bad sort (I cant believe I said this!) but lacks verbal discipline at times and shoots off in all directions and hurt others. I have seen elsewhere she just out of the blue dragged your parents in, which was highly uncalled for. And I understand the mental anguish that may have caused you. I think KiwiRoo would have been cool too (and would have avoided any confusion).
However I could tell from your posts that your were Sinhalese, so no confusion here. BTW I second HGB's statement I do nejoy your posts and think you make intelligent and valued contributions to the discussions.
Cheers.

Kiwi,
Don't worry. As TC says 'It's nothing personal'.
HGB ayya,
Thanks for saying that. Yes, I do agree that often I don't sound very polite. But I am trying to practice public speaking in Political meetings. Madam Sirimavo is my role model. |
