Yes, I am trying to be straight as possible tonight though I am mightily tempted to whack a bit of wine, cannot control my self must admit. That 'Shiraz' is driving me bonkers.
Banana flower made with coconut milk is really great, in fact my mother used to cook back when we were kids and since then I have hardly had continuous curry of that sorts. I must admit that I cannot cook it properly.
Are you a good cook Penn? I mean when it comes to Sri Lankan stuff (local veges, we call it 'Game elawalu' in Sinhalese village veges)?
Now back to the band. I guess my mate HGB is lost interest in the band has not uttered a word on his role/responsibility other than dumping that Sid antics. Let's see whether the geezer is up to his role.

I may ask to perform 'Girl just wanna have fun' by the crazy girl Cyndie Lauper and a bit of ballad of Bangles' 'Eternal Flame'. Are you up to it?
I am waiting to see how is Master shaping after all his PC mumbo jumbo giving him hard time. Seems the old bloke is fully functioning as good as a new pair of jeans. |

Well, you can go no wrong mate. You are right in the money on her surname it was with double 'p'. Good on you mate. You know your onions. I wonder what she's doing now. Cannot definitely riding horses or may be I'm wrong!!
Btw, do you know whether that Ashoka Ponnamperuma guy acted in any tamil movies? Because initially I thought he was a tamil took a Sinhalese stage name. He looks pretty much a tamil guy with his usual mushy and the lascivious dances in the old films around trees. I know Ruckmani was tamil but acted solely in Sinhalese films and sang Sinhalese songs written in English (my goodness she must be a tough old bird to crack). I think she still holds the allrounder woman status in Sinhalese cinema. I cannot think of any other woman surpassing Ruckmani at any stage. Ruckmani had both voice and acting talent to match acting and singing simultaneously in cinema.
I also remember when she died in 1978, that day was a day of shock to most of the cine lovers. Do you remember there was another chap called Herbert Seneviratne an actor acted in the 50s and 60s together with Ruckmani. He was one of the lyric writers in those films. Tough old nut too. Namely 'Kelehanda', 'Dosthara' and 'Siriyalatha'. Ruckmani acted in all of them.
It seems Ruckmani had a bad match in Eddie Jayamanne, the geezer was a laugh mate, don't you think? In fact do you know that joke around Eddie when Ruckmani died. Eddie was weeping and wailing and someone asked why Eddie ayya was crying, then the geezer immediately uttered that his wallet was nicked during the funeral.
I am not sure whether you know there was another singer who sang Sinhalese songs called Thyaga N Edward, she is tamil, does she actully sing tamil songs? But I know she sings lot of Sinhalese songs. |

Mate, the temptation is just too much with some light rain drops on my roof it makes all the more effective before I start go bonkers. I have to say something else mate, I did observe an interesting factor this evening its a pretty young lady a few doors away from our home. She looks Indian, pretty stunning. Cannot say any more for the time being. She must have just moved in or temp lodger there, which ever!! I'll be on toes.
Bonus tracks for Penn for being extra active in the band. I think we need to review our members contribution. Mate, I have to say that I am not very impressed with your contribution along with HGB. Must get on with your feet mate. I leave the reviewing to be done by Master.

yes he seem to be little scared as things are way, wayyyy adult for him, he prefers something like pack N play or nursery rhymes. after all.

Ohh how exciting I will gear my practice every morning in the middle of the lake! In that case I like the song which TC introduced 'Marriazelle Gunathilake- kandy lamazy' I think it will suit few members.

To be honest I hated cooking till my man put a stop to that thought :-). So by no choice learn to like it specially the authentic cooking and I am good at it now. Wouldn't say I am an expert .Practice makes perfect I guess. |
