Penn,
Btw few decorations and flavors Hannibal Lector prefers.
I prefer fava beans and a nice Chianti with my liver!
To you, in 'Anil's Ghost,' did Sarath, Gamini and Sarath's wife's story signify (as a metaphor) anything or was it just a story. I felt it was a metaphor, but many people I ask doesn't feel that way.
If you can, get hold of 'Running in the Family' by the same guy, it's one of the funniest (and poignant) books I have read. At one time SL had a leisurely/carefree generation like F Scott Fitzgerald's 'Jazz generation' and this book is about them. My parents caught the tail end of it, and I have often heard them talk about some of the 'characters' in the book. I am nostalgic for such times. |

HGB
I was little off by the writing ' weaving words 'were skillful and I would lean definitely toward the metaphor part.
I will check my library for the other one. |
