I dully understand the context. I was just pointing it out to Ruwani that if she gets upset when someone mentions the word PIMP (i posted the link ) then she shouldnt be using the very term that upset her.
now i have to edit my file with these qualifications. As i told many times here its a genuine pleasure to be associated with the RICH & FAMOUS. a true Patriotic Family living in a upstairs house.
Unfortunately Bonnga's 'Chinna Veedu= small house' comment was taken out of context. |

I protest this wording in the constitution. thats one of my FOUNDING pillars. I refuse to operate in conditions when a dirty mind is banned.
I was trying to do a case study between the phrase vatti amma & badu but no participants. you get a electronic hug from this thalathel bro.
whats the real menaing of this phrase .i.e the context

Bonggo mate,
I usually bat at No.7 for my department so 6 is great for me. And if you need some part time slow medium swing bowling to help Shanika beating England I can do that as I am aware of the conventional swing a little bit, especially in the morning dew. I know what Hoggy is capable of and I can do a bit of that.
Btw, Shanika as Captain and Ruwani Nangi as wicket keeper make a nice duo I wonder where I am gonna field mate? I can do it at gully if you want me to and I have to admit that I am not a good slipper as I have dropped a few catches at 2nd slip.
And another Note why Prince at 11 he claims he's an allrounder why not make him 7 or 8 like the all genuine allrounders do! |

Usually Vatti amma implies a derogatory meaning in terms of behaviour of a girl and it is quite true that no girl would like to be called by that. Because in reality the Vatti amma is a cacophonic woman at the market selling all the veggies in a wattiya. The watti ammas are a common place in central Colombo where majority dwell in slums and do labour jobs it was often the case for late President Ranasinghe Premadasa winning Colombo landslide. Watti ammas also attributed to get on very well with the underworld gangsters. In a nutshell they represent the typical working class labour market.
Baduwa or badu as in plural is a colloquial for young women by youngsters often harmless but considered to be low esteem to. Now it seems youngsters don't use that term instead new ones which I am not really aware as I am an 80s School kid. As a matter of fact the term baduwa does not make a girl happy either. The girls need respect as I understand from my school days to get in hitch with. I have been an amiable chap that I had a few female friends from Colombo schools which I guess I was happy about and needless to say had a few enemies who were trying to use my tactics to snap them :-) BUt it was all harmless at the end. |

Ruwani Nangi,
I too have an Engineering degree and currently is completing my MBA at the Colombo campus
Just a little query. Who the head of the department of Colombo's Chemistry Dept.? Do you know Prof. JB of Sinhalese?
Has he still been orating about his accuracy of grammar in Sinhalese? I know one of my mates had to put up a huge fight with him regarding the use of certain Sinhalese letters. Well, I guess he's a Prof. so probably is pompous isn't he?
Btw, great to hear you are going for an MBA. Any chance of a PhD??? Would be nice nangi. Just think about it who knows while you are still very young and by 30 you could be Dr Ruwani and lecturing in Colombo and I mean it dear. Suresh will give you all the assistance I gather :-)

well as i said before i'm an allrounder and catch very well in all positions even if its with one hand.
since the capt doesnt know much about cricket i think the best position for me and the team
would be to stay close to the capt so as to provide advice about the game and to stress the finer points.
Its a personal sacrifice for the team! the things i do for the greater good of the team!
