Ru,
i dont think 'That woman' meant strip malls!! i would double or triple chk this!
No wonder you guys are always left out cos you freak the girls out.Seriously for girls you?ll are a player. This is called infatuation with dash of peer pressure. Most of the Hindu college guys I know have nick names by girls wonder why, eg.semari addu. Serruppu, spring box, flood level, thavil. Any serious relationship takes time, dang it, at least know the person. Hindu approach make the girls flee for their life as some of them don't know you guys.I am surprised you guys still have the same strategy change for better results.
so i guess its the school! plenmty of evidence in theis thread! okay! |

Thilangam anna,
Yes, it really does bring back many a memory. i remember going to salgadu bakery almost everytime I visit my cousins & Jam paan seems to be their speciality. Infact it has quite a history ... I remember even my dad saying that he used to eat jam Paan at salgadu with my uncle.

| Penn, Roxy is in wellawatte opposite the (former) ceylon inns hotel - on galle road. If I remember correct the cinema down WA silva mawatha is 'SAPPHIRE' which was burnt down in '83. I used to go to majestic as well. I remember watching a Herbie movie (goes to monte carlo - i think), Karate Kid, Terminator ... in the old cinema. I like the old one to the new. In my opinion it was much cosier. |

You were right about the Roxy(next to the Canal?) and Sapphire theatre. I had some friends & relatives lived at Pamankade, off Parakumba place.
We had Salgado bakeries both in Matale & Kandy too.
I remember in the early 60's one delivery Man from Salgado came in a bicycle full of snacks every afternoon around 2 pm near our house at matale.
He had hot mutton & fish rolls, Mallu & MasPaan,Pastries, Seeni Bunnies, cutlets & Bread etc.
My used to buy for us for evening tea when we came from school.
Salgado's are very popular for their products.
We had a hotel called Arunaloka, they were specialized in Leveria! yum..yum!
My wife makes Leveria at home.
Well these food is very famous among sri lankans where ever they live. |

whats the cinema next to canal. (as you go from wella towards mount right after the canal on your right.)
we got chased once trying to see 'ideal marriage'. we managed to go there eventually but the only scene i can remember is the horse doing it. i think savoy showed other side of midnight and we sat in the gallery! damn all these blasted shows with catchy names DIDnt show anything!
After all she is an adorable young girl.
