Sorry about getting your handle wrong mate.
I read about your overland journey to Europe, must have been really something. I was once invited to go to SL from England by two brothers who was bringing a car overland but my parents wouldn't let me.
I caught Santana concert in Wembley during my school days. Eric Burden was the opening act. I read somewhere that Wembley is being overhauled, must be finished now.
BTW Peter Asher ended up in California and became quite a successful producer. He produced James Taylor, all the good songs like Fire & Rain, You got a Friend etc. I think he produced Linda Ronstad as well.
Right now I am listening to Keith Jarrett Köln Concert. Ever heard of him? Just one man and a piano, its unbelievable the sounds he gets out of it. DrA check this guy out, would sound great on the Akai; piano with that analogue warmth.
Have you herd of the tenor Jussi Björling from your backyard. Not a bad tenor at all. |

So you knew about Jussi Björling? one of the greatest tenor in the world? most probabply the best of any tenor in the 60's? or what? His home town Dalarna is about 250 km from my home!

Me too had a girl friend from HFC. I found a girl and waited at the bus halt in Kolpitya (Saiman hewavitharan road) everyday in the mornings and SACRIFICED extra class Vellupillai miss was conducting in the mornings. When It was brought to my knowledge girl got a boy friend from St Thomas, the Physical Chemistry syllabus had been fully covered by Veelupillai miss.
