You are welcome to me in Sweden, anyone for that matter.
I dont live in a Mansion or a Palace, please remeber that.
I am a very casual person,I could entertain you in my flat for you to feel like you are in a Mansion, it is the thought and entertainment which counts, doesn'nt it?.
So feel free to come over to me when you are in Sweden.
If you can not make it then you might see me in London next year! |

Malli Dr.Akai
For the first time in my life I am not so sure of my answer to our question?
I suspect it has to be Omar Shariff( Michael Shaloub)
and John Carter(Edgar Rice Burroghs!) If I am wrong
Please let me know .
No one can be that perfect, can they? |

I'd lived in the 60's and mid 70's at Fountain House Lane.
Yes, I knew the Bawas and Ambanis from the 60's.these were the elders and I am sure you areb refering to their children.Bawas grand child is Bonggo in our forum!
He said that he used to visit Fountain House Lane time to time,Are yoy surprised? Bonggo is a nice ,probably he was very ,very much younger to me!
I knew all the Ambanis children, Lalith, Chukki, Deepak, Bippin,Usha and some others too in their family, I am sorry others names I could not remember right now.
That was my Golden days in Sri lanka especially at Fountain House Lane, I really miss those days! I wanted to be back to those days!
Perhaps in my my next life ? who knows? |

DrA, Penn, ML, Radaw, or anyone interested in audio,
Here is a photo of a similar original rig that Mark Levinson started building his amps (ML-2s etc) to drive. A picture of the Hartley/Quad/Decca system

An article on the Yamaha NS-1000s (one of the speakers I use.) The writer, editor of 'HiFi world' still use them as reference although he has access to many speakers.

60+ yrs of HiFi has thrown up only a very few true classics; NS-1000 and QUAD ESL57 are two of them.
Anyone who is interested in movies here is Faye Dunaway's stacked Quads

Thalingam,
1) Who sang this song ' I am a Beleiver'?
2) which year?
3) Who sang that song?
4) Which group became popular? of this song?
5) Who wrote that song?
Just from the top of my head. It was the Monkees who sang it, and Neil Diamond wrote it. I could be wrong about the writer. Edited By - hellogoodbye - 28 Oct 2006 00:34:37 G |

Brother Thilagam,
A very good morning to you from a gloomy UK. I am delighted that you are going to perfom live which must be very exciting being a Master you will just be the cherry on the cake Sir!! keep it up, reminds me Dharmaratne Bros. Ha ha ha!!
By the way your ansers to my questions were not fully correct.
I suspect it has to be Omar Shariff( Michael Shaloub)
and John Carter(Edgar Rice Burroghs!) If I am wrong
Please let me know
First one is correct the second one is in fact Charlton Heston. Tck did complete the mission this occasion.
So Tck you are declared winner mate. Master got one wrong!!
Now let me see whether I can answer your long questionnaire
1) Who's song is ' I am a Beleiver'?
2) which year?
3) Who sang that song?
4) Which group became popular? of this song?
5) Who wrote that song?
6) If so why the song writer could not sing that song for himself, or get popular on this particular song?
7) Who was the song writer?
8) What nationality?
9) Which country he /she comes from?
10) Where did he/she lived before?
11)Where his/her best friend in his/her own race livs? name that person!
12) she/he performed in 2001, which month, where and which song did he perform?
1) Its Neil Diamond's Original song
2) Definitely 1966 the year that the British went bonkers on winning the World Cup and Dr Zhivago was nominated for best Picture
3) Neil Diamond sang it
4) The Monkees did the cover version and emulated Neil
5) I think Neil wrote it too(not sure)
6) I think what happened here was the Monkees sang it for a for TV show and that became so popular
7) Song writer Neil I believe (as said before)
8) American
9) America
10) Don't know
11) Is it Good old Elton?
12) Is it Belgium in 2001? Not sure again
I am only sure about 60% answers.
Hope to get more crackers from our LNP music master (Visharad)!!
Have a good day mate! |
