The film was a classic by David Lean
DrA, Penn,
Have you seen his 'Passage to India,' the film of the book by E. M. Foster? It's one of his less successful ones, I guess it was his last. For me a classic; a great metaphor for the colonial experience, from the English perspective. Another good one of his was 'Rayan's Daughter.'
Penn,
Your father had an Akai? So did my father! I suppose that's why we have milder mental frames of mind. If we too were listening to Bose by now we would all be raving psychopaths. A behaviour not totally unexpected. |

Brother Thilagam,
Yes, as usual you are on the spot, cannot beat the Master!! :-)
I am having a little quiet morning so getting to you without much trouble.
Its a rainy morning in here (reminds me rainy night in Georgia, by the way do you know who sings that? was trying to break my neck in thinking who the hell was singing that, could not get the answer). May be someone com..
Malli Dr.Akai
It is raining here as well, mixed snow, cold, gloomy.
So when you picked up this particular song I understood only you who really could come up with a matching song.
So far you are the only one who chats with me when it comes to music, I appreciate that.
Thanks for those flattering words on me, well, you are master too ,do not forget that.
Rainy nights in Georgia? Ofcourse our master

We can gate-crash Ruwani's mansion, if the dogs are set loose on us then we can gather at my hut, what the heck. Who knows TC or I might turn up to be a dog-whisperer.
HGB,
I will change my handle to TCK (M or N) at the end to blend in. forget the
dogs I am more worried about the brothers and ammi with a spatula.
lets avoid friday nights!! as a token of my appreciation to the mega mansion
I'll also bring a bottle of 100% pure authentic Thalathel! and a small bottle of siddartha thel
Just in case!

Hi Kula,
A nice joke, I enjoyed it. Now a days there is hardly anybody coming up with jokes.
Sarvanath
I am Lula and nice to meet you.
I cannot see anything indecent in that joke. It all depends on how your mind works.
For those with narrow minds, everything seems to be dirty, filthy and indecent.
This reminds me about a Zen Buddhist story.
Two travelling monks reached a river where they met a young woman. Wary of the current, she asked if they could carry her across. One of the monks hesitated, but the other quickly picked her up on to his shoulder, transported her across the water, and put her down on the other bank. She thanked him and departed.
As the two monks continued on their way, the other monk was brooding and preoccupied. Unable to hold his silence, he spoke out.
He said to the other, 'Our spiritual training teaches us to avoid any contact with women, but you picked that one up on your shoulders and carried her!'
The second monk replied, 'I set her down on the other side of the river bank, but you are still carrying her'. |

TC,
So Hilarious as usual. As I have said you guys are always welcome to my humble home. But I don't know anything about a 'Mansion'.
PS: No need to bring anything (Thala thel or Sidhartha) we don't accept things from friends. Edited By - Ruwani - 26 Oct 2006 15:29:57 GMT |

Thalingam Anna,
Engelbert had some shows in SL in a place called Water's Edge. My sister and her mafia caught the show. I wouldn't be seen dead near him.
HelloGoodbye,
Oh! really, I did,nt know Engelbert has performed in that'Water's Edge', btw, where is this place?
Engelbert music is is not my taste, but I do remember girls back home went mad during those days. |

What has happened to our great sardarji(Bonggo, Shisya)?
enjoy this one,
One night, Tim was walking home when, all of a sudden, a thief jumped on him. Tim and the thief were began to wrestle. They rolled about on the ground and Tim put up a tremendous fight. However, the thief managed to get the better of him and pinned him to the ground. The thief then went through Tim's pockets and searched him. All the thief could find on Tim was 25 cents. The thief was so surprised at this that he asked Tim why he had bothered to fight so hard for a 25 cents. 'Was that all you wanted?' Tim replied, 'I thought you were after the five hundred dollars I've got in my shoe!' |
