Swedish winter is terrible...terrible that canada,
winter is always horrible particularly as many dont enjoy winter activities.
the worst months are january and February. the temp itself doesnt present a big
problem as long as you have layers of clothing (2-3) but its the WIND
the will get you (known as the windchill factor here similar to the Humidity
factor during summer).
on top of that you get snow and you have to make sure you walk on cleared
pavement since otherwise you might be walking on ICE!.
on top of that we have this Freezing rain crap. basically temp hovering
just below freezing point and its besiaclly rain but as it hits the ground it freezes.
Its heavier than snow and doesnt fall off even if its windy. in 98 there was
a freezing rain storm for 3 days in eastern ONT and it brought DOWN among
other thing Power lines!!

Lots of people wait untill the last moment to change in to winter tyres
definitely recommended but i dont have it. its mostly paved roads and
the snow cleaning service here is excellent. just got to be a little careful.
if you have a RWD making doughnuts is a pleasure in parking lots with
fresh snow. but even with FWD its fun as you can spin the vehicle
a full 360. parking lots in the morning are free and always fun to
do this!! |

It is true People do get depressed and commit suicide during the autum nearing the winter and begining of spring too, Dont know why?
Summer is not that many many suiceds.
Some Swedes are very unhappy during winter,unlike other nationallities.
Japan has or had the worlds largest suicidals, Sweden & Finland came on 2nd and 3rd.
I do not the current standings.
These people greet and hug anyone when they are drunk,the next day they dont even remember that they did that on the previous evening and sometimes not even a hello!
I am sure you must be having some Swdish friends or batch mates at university, so why not get some information on this.
Talking about clothings during the winter, older people always have more cloths on them.
I think usually mental disorder people wrap around paper around them, probably If you have heard anyone telling you people wraping around with papers.
I have never seen anyone who is normal wraping around with papers.All I know the homeless and drug adicts does it. |

I think Malmö and Trelleborg is nearly 500 KM from Stockholm.
Malmö & Trelleborg are very near to the continent, now that after they opened up the new bridge (Öresund Bridge)it is much more quicker to cross over to Köpenhamn(Copenhagen). |

' Varalaru' - God Father.. what a waste. I just don't understand ,his movie Paramasivan was good then comes this with so many songs no plot. The only laughable was his bharathanatiyam and drove me nuts to watch his walk.
I am very biased with the topic(violation of dignity test) so I withdraw my self from the panel:-)

for all those who drool about virgin here is a hypothetical Q... what is your opinion eg Clinton Scandal eh.. can still be virgin how would you know about the other non-invasive procedure.these are just bull respect the individual for who they are. |

Right now we are displaced and nothing to do so have a lot of time to spend.
I have not experienced this painstaking journey. But have shared pain with my own hubby and relatives . 2002 my trip to Jaffna was gruesome. Used to go every year to Nallur thiruvilla when I was a kid. But should say I was just impressed still the 1 rupee for arichanai is maintained.Like you said

with the current definition of virginity (in this thread!) i would say monica is still a virgin :):) Clinton is probably the best US presi in the last 30 odd yrs (ofcourse he was riding a economic wave too) and his speeches are excellent. Morals well thats a whole new ball game. Gore distanced himself in 00 and IIRC democracts eve lodst arkansas!
I remember reading that hillary was one of the 100 Best lawyers in the US. Dont know how they ranked that. |
