If there are Ecologists or Environmentalists in here,
This thing was bugging me for sometime......importing tropical fish to Sri Lanka....do importers have to get a special license??
Who is issuing those licenses???
This is a concern because some are importing fish varieties which are harmful to our country's Eco systems!!!
For example few of my friends have Alligator/Spotted Gars as their pet fishes....imagine if they got released in to a reservoir or soemthing...they even import Piranhas freely down there......one of friends got a whole herd of them...thank god that they are harmless contrary to the common belief.
However the garfish is different kettle of a fish.......they can DESTROY everything......
