Let me repeat the answer I gave to Pri:
I visit the forum regularly, but do not contribute unless have enough time to waste!
I have been traveling a lot and did not have enough time to waste. Just visit the forum read the stuff quickly and sign-off. That's about it. This thread was so good and everything was humour and in lighter vein. However, I felt that this too had lost its attraction with a few personal comments etc. That is why I kept away.
I feel bad that i cant contribute any songs. all i know are not printable here!!. the damn place i went to study only taught me unprintable songs.
Well you had always maintain a good spirit in this thread and everything was OK as far as this was the site of the Ashram and you were the undisputed guru. However, there is intrusion now and the Ashram has somewhat lost its holiness.
You need a big pooja to cleanse the environment!!

Thank you for the response about the new Tamil songs.
You may be right but I do not see many Tamil movies now. So I cannot comment a lot. However, most of the new songs do not impress me. Of course there are a very few songs which I have enjoyed too.
In general, my opinion is that the new songs do not confirm to the rules of traditional notes and have very little poetic structure.
No offence taken or meant and we all have our opinions.
Perhaps there is a generation gap and taste differs too. |

That you dint have to say....I think I am older than you but I am not ashamed to say that I've leaned a LOT from her in last couple of weeks....don't misunderstand me I am not talking about the language!!

She is one of a kind.........I dont know the Jaffna word for THAT....:) :) :) :)

Do they sound as good as my vintage Leak 12.1s? No, nothing does. There is no amp (including the Ongaku) I have listened up to now,..
Man we are talking about £ 72,000 worth of amplification and you are still bashing it... and for non Audiophiles..Audio Note Ongaku is hailed as the best damn amplifier ever made by some reviewers!!!
The most common are 300B ones, puts out about 8watts, glorious mid-range but sounds anaemic; needs high efficient horns.....
Thats the one area I got stumped in speaker making never got the horne loading correct :) :) :)...BUT some day I WILL!!!
Ah....don't talk about 8Watt thingies here...most people are used to boom boxes with stickers saying 2000- 3000 WATTS of PMPO :) :)
The 805 sounds like Ruwani on steroids, loud, clear and life-like and can drive real world speaker loads and opponents to distraction.
Well, still cant fathom what Ruwani got to do with Valves and steroids!!......but one thing I know is there are loads of BOSE fans here.....you might ruffle some feathers.....:) :) :) :)
Ah I think Radaw is calling his friend in Qatar to arrange a loan!!!
