How is everyone doing? I was held up with some work but really glad to see that Dr Akai, Lula and Mimsie are back. Also nice to see a few new members to the thread-Priyanthy, Kusumban, Chandana et al . Welcome all!

It was decided sometime back (by our highly esteemed selector) to give a rest to the cricket team and also to fully concentrate on the football team, if I am not mistaken, of which you are the captain. Thanks and yes, it is a very good meaningful song
I visit the forum regularly, but do not contribute unless have enough time to waste!
Old songs are soothing and have nmenaings but nowdays tamil cinema songs are just dialogues spoken with music.

In this world, nobody is indispensable. If we were to give up our plans every time we lose a member of our teams, we could not have obviously achieved anything.
Wise men (and women) never put plans aside just because they lose one individual. Nobody is indispensable and everybody is replaceable. The remaining have to take the responsibility of taking the world forward...Otherwise we would be forever stuck at the stone age.
You may want to appoint somebody young and dynamic like our Chandana malaya here as the new captain. Perhaps you might want me to take the responsibility. No, thanks. People like Kula and myself are too old for that. We should give opportunities for the young generation.

Point taken. Just that it was a few of us who were into the idea to begin with, and since a couple of other teams were also going on, with Naleen's departure (which I still consider as sad :-() naturally our memebers lost interest.
And in my understanding, here in this thread, age, gender, height,weight etc is no bar. So why do you consider yourself too old for the post? Can't move the world forward thinking like that too, you know :-))) |
