Bonggo,
Good Morning.
Its a nice feeling to see that our boys have escaped defeat and showed their determination.
We should not fail to thank the weather gods for their intermittent assistance. expecting victory would have been a little too much; you are right wishful thinking. Edited By - Kulakottan - 16 May 2006 06:11:19 GMT |

Mahela scored a century yes, dilshan half century yes but they are batsmen, they must score runs. We must give credit to our fast bowlers maharoof, vaas and kulasekeera for saving the match.
These guys have to bowl and bat as well :)) |

Flintoff bowled a record 50 overs and more?..and guess what happened:
The exasperated bowler turned to the umpire 'What would happen if I called you a stupid old fool! who couldn't make a good decision.
Umpire: You would be fined and suspended
Flintoff: And if I only thought it?
Umpire' Nothing could be done.
Flintoff: Well, we'll leave it like that, shall we. |

And about fielding...
Flintoff was in despair at his side's fielding. At Lords, they dropped every chance that came their way. Finally, at the dressing room, the captain called his men together and told them that he was taking them fishing.
What for? they asked.

'Chaadike'ththa Moody'
thanks Kula.
Re:flintoff. yesterday with the light fading the first ball he bowled to Murali was a rising delivery that hit him on the head. Light was offered and off they came. NOT very smart! |

Innamjust,
This has been troubling me a few days and had to get it out of my system.
I dont think i ever questioned you on being a thomian. Infact one of your very first posts you mentioned that. i also mentioned that i am 3 decades + younger than you. I am truly sorry if you felt i questioned your upbringing.
I remember tissera.(very fair gent) didnt he captain Lanka in cricket. Edited By - tamilcanuck - 16 May 2006 19:46:43 GM |

Yes Bongo... that was a superb catch which I missed watching... the guy is a genuine all rounder and one I have seen after a very long time. Irfan Pathan of India is one other, well...time will tell. For Sri Lanka, Mahroof has to be nurtured to that level and most importantly Murali should take the batting more seriously than his bowling... cos he is already a wizard on that. Hope Sanath gets some form in the match tomorrow.... or are there plenty of people to say 'I said you so'. Edited By - mimslanka - 17 May 2006 05:40:56 GMT |
