Wow kenduri fest is the best, relly yummy. Have you had kiduhu rice? (they normally pack them in a big parcel made out of weaved coconut leaves). That beats em all. It's the tastiest food I have ever had. Now where on earth in the Gulf can I go to get this stuff? |

Kiduhu probably means palmyrah since in jaffna you have kiduhu veli (fence). |

Yes I have tasted kidhu,very tasty,like I said before muslim food taste very differnt from tamil and sinhalese.
Btw, if ou have the interest and a tiny bit of some talent, good ear for absorbing sounds and ofcourse eger to play the instrument you love to learn, then you could overcome anything,that goes for Bongo & Tabla playing too.
5 years to learn tabla? he is perhaps not atalented person or just he wants to get rid of you.
I suggest you buy a pair of tabla or bongos,then play some music that you prefer to listen on your cassette or cd player.Concentrate on the rythem you play you can even record it for fun and see how it sounds.
Then you will exactly know where you went out of rythem, keep on practice and I am sure you will be able to play one day without even watching your fingers and hands movements, 'Practice Makes a Man perfect'.
Try, keep on try, never give up once you start on something,If I can do it so do you or anyone, it is simple as that.
