I remember the Allerics Ice cream van used to come to Galle Face green, but Elephant house & fountain cafe at Union place ( owned by Elephant house, Ceylon Cold Stores)had the first ice cream parlour if I remmeber correct.Even Bake house had good Ice cream and Apple shape of cakes .Later came
Perera & sons at Colpetty, Zellers, Maliban.
Green cabin, I suppose these people sold the Elephant house ice cream untill Allerics became most popular in Colombo.
Akase kade had ice cream too from Elephant house, yes the first escaltor ever to be build in a Sri lankan building complex(Ceylinco).
There was Doctors clinic just front of Allerics, I think Fredrica Road was adjoing Alerics?
Not Boswell Place? Alexandra Road was just in front?
Can anyone correct me?
Btw, Tc Jalatharangam some what sounds like the western Xelyophone?

the vegetable pie is the best and still up and running , they have renovated the place pretty good. After British council Library that used to be my stop over. remember royal Bakery in wella next to Nelson place, they have upgraded that one as well |

if the Sri lankan house wifes invention was Pittu bambu, then who invented the 'Indiyappa Wangeddiya'?
I think it came from Kerala alltogether(pittu bambu+ Indiyappa wangediya).
Or even from the Amezonas native folks (Indians)? who knows? |

I prefer Stolchenya russian vodka, but vodka make your system so dry just like Gin.
So I prefer whiskey or Beer.
btw, I am not atall intrested in Golf it's so borring,sorry for disapointing you.
