Hi Thilagam,
Sorry for the delayed response.
I was a drummer for a short period as a teenager. Played for Emeralds run by Mr.Sam Sodhi from Kohuwela.
Fairplay, JRJ,
Hello! I was a boxer for Royal too. And captained Marsh house in the early eighties. I remember a JRA who was a boxer but not a JRJ during my time. I was also involved in felicitation for DGO's 48 years of coaching. Anyone of you from that era? |

Better to be delayed than never!
Yes, I knew Sam Sodhirajah with glasses(hairy like a bear)was the Manager and founder of Emeralds, his bro-in law was the lead guitarist. I do not remember the name of that Lane they lived at, can you?
Bytheway, do you know Shanthi Seneviratne brother of Harold Seneviratne ,Harold had a his own band named Harold Seneviratne Combo.
I like to know which year you played drums with The Emeralds, was it the early 80's?
Is Sam is alive? I had been a frequent visiter to their house, do you know anyone who played for the Emeralds in 1970? Give me some names please. I will get back to you after your answer.
Take care
Regards
