Petiyo,
Nice to see you always.
Thilaham anna,
Why not, I can come with some Surd jokes at one time or the other:
Jogi Singh was making a documentary on Indian tribes. For this, he went to the deep jungles for the details. One day, Jogi Singh was walking along with two tribals in the jungle, when, all of a sudden, one of the tribal took off and ran up a hill to the mouth of a cave. The tribal stopped and hollered into the cave... 'Woooooo! Woooooo! Woooooo!' and then listened very closely until he heard the answer...'Woooooo! Woooooo! Woooooo!' He then tore off his clothes and ran in to the cave. Jogi Singh was puzzled and asked the other tribal what that was all about, was that person mad or something. 'No', said the other tribal. 'It is mating time for us tribals and when you see a cave and holler, 'Woooooo! Woooooo! Woooooo!', and get an answer back, that means that she is in there waiting for you. Well, just about that time, the other tribal saw another cave. He took off and ran up to the cave, then stopped and hollered, 'Woooooo! Woooooo! Woooooo!' When he heard the return, 'Woooooo! Woooooo! Woooooo!', off came the clothes and into the cave he goes. Jogi Singh started running around the forest looking for a cave to find these women that the tribals had talked about. All of a sudden, he looked up and saw this great big cave. As he looked in amazement, he was thinking, 'Man! Look at the size of that cave! It's bigger than the ones that those tribals found. There must really be something really great in this cave!' Well... he took-off up the hill with his hopes of ecstasy and grandeur. He got in front of the cave and hollered, 'Woooooo! Woooooo! Woooooo!' He was just tickled all over when he heard the answering call of,'WOOOOOOOOO! WOOOOOOOOO!! WOOOOOOOOO! Off came his clothes and, with a big smile on his face, he raced into the cave. The next day in the newspaper the head lines read, 'NAKED SARDARJI RUN OVER BY FREIGHT TRAIN CROSSING A TUNNEL'!! Edited By - Bonggo - 5 Sep 2006 10:25:03 GMT |

Nice to hear that you are doing fine. Though it's saddening to see that some of our members are missing :-( Isn't it also good to see some new friends here?

Thanks a lot for bringing-in the laughter :-)

Miss Shanika,
Thanks for the message.
It seems this particular thread is more of a party atmosphere than anything serious.
I am glad all those sri lankans who are scattered around the world can flock here and share their feelings and experiences. |

Shanika,
Yes many friends are missing but I am perplexed by the absence of the Guru. Usually he drops a note before going off. I guess perhaps he is not in a mood these days, neither am I but somehow trying my best.
I was cheered by Kula who was chhered by Mark Livingson who was cheered by Thialaham who is cheered by me and all.
Hope Kamani nangi is taking up things well too, with the demise of her FIL.
How are things with you? It is about time you come up with the newsletter :)
JRJ,
We discuss anything but politics here, without much of a conflict though, because there are enough threads sprouting daily for that.
We discuss anything under the sun that interests us - sport, music, history, philosophy, astronomy, personal interests - you name it :)
Hope to learn a lot from you. |

Bonggo,
I am doing fine. Thanks.
I know exactly what you and Kula mean- even though I don't participate in the other threads now, I read the news items and at times I question my self-to come here and do a posting seems (at times) so trivial compared to the suffering that is going on in our country. A couple of times, I actually didn't do the postings I wanted to. But then, we can not and should not, give up so easily, should we? this is perhaps the only thread that members come toghther and still manage to have a good time. I am grateful to you and a few others for keeping the thread going.
Re: the news letter. Have thought about it. But with several key players MIA, there's nothing to report these days, :-( where's Radaw?
If I am not mistaken, Guru was laying down some plans for a long weekend, which might explain his silence. Hopefully he will manefest himself soon. Edited By - shanika - 5 Sep 2006 12:36:23 GMT |
