Mr Thilagam,
I have read your posts with interest. I too was a drummer for a band from kohuwela which was formed by a famous tamil musician. My interest in music was limited to english music during and long after I left school.
I must admit my interset in easthetic studies took me as far as performing with my school dance troup at the Randoli perehara in Kandy.
However, after I turned forty I realised that there was a man named Jothipala who sang with an unmatched quality of timbre.
For the last few years I am overawed by his quality of delivery. Were you ever a fan of his? |

Mr.ModGamaya
Welcome new member. Did you say you came from Kohuwela?
I remember taking a double decker bus from Fort after work which went to Kohuwela ,the bus number was 116. I used to get off near Eye hospital/ front of Bake house & near Liptons circus at Deans Road which was close to my home,Fountain House Lane.Next Hayleys LTD.
I did have some musician friends from Kohuwela during the late 60's and early 70's.
Welcome drummer,I thought I was the only one in this forum who was a drummer, but I am glad you have come to accompany me, welcome on board partner.
You said you were a drummer in your 40's with a Tamil musican? what was this Tamil musicians name & the Music group if I may ask you.
Did you mention singer H.R.Jothipala? No I was not a fan of H.R.Jothipala,however I liked other sinhalese singers and musicians like Annesley Malawane, Clarence Wijewardene, Anton Jones,Nihal Nelson,
Milton Malawarachchi etc, some of these musicians I knew personaly.
What kind of music and singers you are intrested in?
Let me know please.
Have a nice day, take care
Regards

Best Gynos are at McCarthy.
Bonggo,
Thanks for the info.
I've never had any treatment in SL.Therefore, I'm not updated.
Lived in Singapore for five and half years, and gave birth to my children there. If you want to talk about world class medical treatment Sarath Fonseka made the right decision. |

Even the dropouts succeed, if dropped out from Yale. It sounds like a place of inspiration.
