Patrick De Silva of Maradana
OMG, don't tell me you are multiple personalities. Are you both uncle Patrick and Bonggo ayya?
I call him uncle and you ayya? I'm confused now. |

Thanks for writing to me.
Diana Ross had other hits too to name a few 'You cant hurry love', Stop in the name of my love', 'Aint no mountains high enough', 'You just keep hanging on', Refelections'
Some of C.T Fernando songs that I remember, 'Maa Oba Hamu Wuu' with Rumani Devi, 'Onchili Chilli', 'Mal Bara himidiriye' with Latha Walpola.
Btw, did you know that Rukmani Devi is Tamil from Negombo?
So your dad used to hang around with CT? Is CT related to you?
I personally knew lots of musicians to name a few sinhalese it was Clerance Wijewardene, Annesly Malawane, Anton Jones, Desmond De Silva and Raj Seneviratne. In case if you did'nt know Clarance came from Matale where I was born too. Those were the good old days unlike now.
Keep in touch with me.

JillBall,
Having interacted with many Aussies I would like to stand by my opinion. Also I admire your courage to stand by yours, which is different from general Sri Lankan point of view. I believe most Sri Lankan cricket fans are biased against Hair because of Murali issue.
Following is something I picked up in the Internet. . . interesting. Supports your claim than mine.
Though his critics in Asia have long been claiming otherwise, the one thing Hair had left was his integrity. Even the PCB chairman, Shahrayar Khan, while attacking his intransigence and general attitude, could not deny that Hair was a 'good umpire', a man with the courage of his convictions and a sense, on the cricket field, of right and wrong. Now, for one reason or another, he has let his motives be questioned. He can certainly never umpire at the highest level again, and his name is all set to be dragged through the mud.

| Thilagam, whom you back Alanso or Michael. Alonso is still leading the table isnt it but Michael has a good chance of challenging the leader I think. |

Mr.Ananda95
Thanks for your previous comment sorry for not replying you at once. The Italian Grand Prix Formula-1 on monza circuit betweeen 8-10 september, I am glad to hear your friend is going to Italy to see the race. Is he a Formula-1 racing freak like me, if so kindly tell him you know another racing freak call Thilagam in this thread.
Yes, Michael Schumacher might well have a chance of winning this year's championchip,Michael has 90 points and Fernando Alonso has 96 points. But more suprises could take place, this Formula-1
This is Formula-1,anything and evrything kan go right or wrong. There are 4 more races left for this season, next race will be in Italy( 10 sep),China (1st of october),Japan(10 october)and finaly in Brazil (22 october).
Every year I want some new drivers to win the championship, this year I want Phillipe Massa (Ferrari) to win the race, next year someother driver and so on.
One gets fed up to see the same old driver wining the championship 5 or 6 times in a row, how about you and your friend?
Regards

Thilagam,
I will tell that to my friend. I was not a good supporter or follower earlier but now I am interested in it. We share your though, we would like people to challenge the champions. It is not thrill to see one driver wins everything. With all the due respect to Alonso and Schumarker, we like to see others challenging them. |

Mr.Ananda95
I am glad you begin to like the Formula-1 race, so I welcome you to join the club. I wish there were more like you would take a sudden intrest in this sport.
You were right, other drivers should challenge these champions too.Nothing is impossible if you have the talent, enthusiasm, luck and if you are in the right place at the right time. One should keep in mind that the sponsorship is most important in this sport aftrall there are millions of dollars ivolved in it.
The Team has to select the clever driver, no one goes direct to the Formula-1. There are various stages to reach this level, to begin with STCC class, Formula-3, Formula-2 and finaly Formula-1. First you begin as a test driver and the Team Manager & Sponsor decides when you to take over the wheels as the Team driver 1.
If you have'nt performed good enogh during the season then they might even take another driver who is better than you,and you will end up as test driver to that team or terminates your contract. There are very complicating rules each year on Formula-1 race, it is not the same rules every year.
The Formula F-1 Association decides that rules and regulations for the drivers.Any more questions just ask me.
Regards

Unfortunately I could not see the race as I was in the office at that time. Thanks for your information.
