Thilagam,
I don't understand F-1, eeerrrnnnnn--uuurrrnnn is the only sound you hear all over the programme. But I'll watch it, Button lives in the same area as I do, so it's good to keep myself informed of the guy's progress; people will be talking about it at the market place..::,,-- |

Holy moly!!!,
Now here is a really frightning news for gents!!
The icecap may not be the only thing shrinking in the Arctic. The genitals of polar bears in east Greenland are apparently dwindling in size due to industrial pollutants.
Scientists report this shrinkage could, in the worst case scenario, endanger polar bears there and elsewhere by spoiling their love lives and causing their numbers to peter out.....

Moral of the story....dont mess with THE MOTHER NATURE!!

Mr.Jillball
you are lucky to live in the same area as Jenson Button,I would have taken his autograph if I were you.
You know I loved fast cars ever since I was in my teens and ,I used to admire Jim Clerk(Forumula F-1 driver from U.K)who died in F-1 racing. He was the world champion in 1964-1965.
I took some intrest to drive cars in my late teens.
I used to go and see the car races in Katukurunda track in late 60's,Richard Pireis(Richard Peris & co,Ltd)Managing directors son used to take part in car races. Sometimes they had car races around Galle face through Slave Island.I have also seen car races around Kandy lake in the late 60's and early 70's.
When I came to Sweden I took more intrest in fast cars and flying aeroplnes. my favorite Formula F-1 driver was Ronnie Pettersson of Sweden in the 70's to name a few ,Mario Andretti of USA, Graham Hill,UK. Jcky Ickx of Belgium, Jack Brabham of New Zealand and many others too.
You know that sound urrrrrm....urrrmmm,I used to call it'intimacyy, well dont missunderstand me for my expression on that.
Anyway some activities like flying air planes, driving fast cars, playing and listning to music, sports, making food is not only my hobby and it stimulates one too.
I do not want you to miss the race to-morrow and sunday.
Let me know if you really liked it, ok?
Regards

It may not be a big problem for these animals..)
The reason for Viagra's popularity is clear, says Frank von Hippel of the University of Alaska: 'Viagra is cheaper than many animal products and its action is pronounced, immediate and effective.'

So you are dad's little girl and fallowing the fathers footstep? You are lucky to have father like him.
Your father has some good taste of music.Atleast you have a father who liked this kind of music unlike my father was just the opposite of your father, borring!
Beatles, Rolling Stones were my favorites too.
Clif Richard is okay but Jim Reeves is not my taste.I have seen many conserts both in Sweden and other parts of the world too.Shadows was my favorite of all time during 1962,and then came the Ventures from USA,but nothing like the Shadows. Shadows were the backing group for
Clif Richard for sometime in the 60's.
I have played drums in lots of band in Colombo in the 60's and early 70's and also here in Sweden .
I am a LP Record collector, I have more than 1000 records with me from the 60's up to late 90's.
I like pop, soul, R & B, Funk,Hard rock, Rock ,Jazz and classical music in English.
I like Beatles,Rolling Stones, Deep Purple, Led Zeplin, Jimi Hendrix,James Brown, Marvin Gaye, Ray Charles,Four Tops, Temptation,Michael Jackson with the Jackson 5.and many more.
I am fond of tamil songs from the 60's, and sinhala baila & pop from the 60's to early 70.
Diana Ross & The Supremes were a fantatic all girl group, belongs to 'Motown' sound from the 60's from Detroit, Michigen. Lyrics were written by the legendary song writers Holland-Dozier-Holland(they were all AfroAmericans).
I am glad you like this kind of music.
May I ask you if your dad was a musician in Colombo?
Please write to me back.
Regards

In my opinion, Darrel Hair is an egomaniac who always wants to be in the limelight. From time to time, he seems to pick on someone to achieve his objective. Not only Hair I have noticed the same attitude among some middle aged Australians.
As an umpire, Hair is accurate in his decisions most of the time. But does that make him a good umpire? A good umpire means he has to be unbiased. I don't see that in Hair. He took matters in to his own hands and no-balled Murali although he had been cleared from suspicious action. But he has a complete different attitude towards Brett Lee. It took another 2 years for some one to report Lee. All that time Hair was silent.
Reverse swinging, some say it is an art some call it foul. When ball started reverse swinging for England during the ashes it was ok. If that happened to Pakistan they are cheats. We know Pakistan team were guilty of ball tempering several time. But so is Mike Atherton |
